My boston terrier will not eat her dinner if my husband puts it out for her before I get home from work. She won't touch it. I have to put it down for her and then she eats it.

awwwww..that is neat story...
sounds she had quite the life..
and good for you too though..in lots of ways
bostons are great pets...
and some are very clingy by nature..
My boston was always with me..always
I think that is part of being a boston
they are great companions and great family dogs too..
although I love my bulldogs and my pugs..
i still have a soft spot for all boston terriers
HOPE you post an updated PIC Of Daisi again soon..
she is such a sweetie.
thanks for sharing her story with me..
I truly do love the boston terrier as well
she looks very tiny in the pics though
what does she weigh??
my boston was 13.9 when I got her at 9 months
and the same weight at 19 and half when I had to put her down..she was tiny and fiesty..lol
... about Daisi
I had wanted a dog when I was living in the city in Vancouver. I lived in a small studio and was interested in a pug or a boston. A bulldog was out of the question, there really are none in rescue there and they are in high demand. So I emailed a few breeders asking if they knew of any adults that needed homes. One "breeder" told me she had a male but he was agressive and a female and she was needy. She wanted to re-home them.
Daisi immediately came to me and was stuck like glue so i took her home. I did not pay for her, just agreed to spay her. She didn't need a lot of medical care at the time, she was turning 6. The years following though her eyes have needed care, we almost lost one last year. She is blind in that eye from an ulceration. Her boobs were sagging to the ground when I got her from apparently one litter, LOL! Right! Her tumors have been there since I got her but the vets all thought they were harmless until the past years and most recently she was diagnosed with mammary cancer. So we removed all her breast tissue.

I arrived at a mobile home. The owner let me enter and it was full of crates with bostons in them and a pen with puppies. There must have been 15 dogs or more
She is pretty spunky but very attached to me. We've been through a lot together. Moves from Canada to the US and back more than once. She is like a security blanket for me now which probably is not healthy. She is a lot more independent than she was. She has a sweet temperment and she never kicks up a fuss if we travel with her or anything. She really is the best.

That's pretty funny.... funny girl!
Mine don't care at all, me, hubby, the cat, a burglar, if they are being fed their happy! I think they like it when other people feed them as they get to break the mealtime "wait until you're told" rule!
All food is good food
She'd take dinner from Satan himself!
no they dont care
as long as they are fed, my 10 year old grandaughter is learning to be a pack leader, she is awesome with Lily

lol!!!
it must be a bully thing, but my babies will eat anything from anyone.
Well with Mallie, she's a bloodhound and is the same. Your Boston must have a strong attachment to you. That might be something you want to work on. You never know when you won't be home to feed. And if your bullies are like mine, a bowl of food wouldn't be safe sitting around. lol!!

I mostly feed the dogs since I am the only one here mostly but..
if my son is home
they will eat if he feeds them too
the bulldogs for sure..
but NOT the pugs
I have to feed them or they will not touch it..EVER
He'll eat for anyone
As long as it's food he likes
