Does anyone use Simple Solution ?

OK now this really is my last question for the day lol!

I've been using Simple Solution for Gerties pee in the carpets, it seems to work great at the time, now a few days later the smell of pee is Adminsing from the carpets. Anything else better on the market?
We don't have much stuff over here so I'll have to order some online - so if anyone knows of website's to go along with that too it would be greatly appreciated

Cool.. thanks Gregg. I'll try that! n/m

OxyClean...

Julia,
I've not noticed the difference in laundry, but I have on spots. Try 1/2 scoop in a spry pump bottle with warm water. Make sure it is thoroughly dissolved.
Saturate spot, then blot dry with cotton towel.

Good luck

I can never get OxyClean to work for me!

I add it to everything... I throw a scoop in my laundry... SteamCleaner... everything! And I never see the noticable difference everyone always raves about! Waaaaah!

But good to know it works well for you! I won't give up hope!

Re: Does anyone use Simple Solution ?

We have tried many things and nothing seemed to work quite right. Some things would work for a short while but not long after, the smell would start to come out again. The only thing that stopped it from smelling was having a professional out to clean. So I would keep on top of it as best you can, with whatever products you can, and just put up with a bit of a smell until she is trained - then call in the carpet cleaner!!!! I imagine it won't be much longer before she stops going in the house.

MAybe Im the only Walmart gal here....

but we also have Miss Prissy weeing all over the place. We use Resolve Carper Cleaner. We have the foam stuff in the can though and it works like a dream! Its GREAT! There is nothing that stuff wont clean, but its the foam stuff ya have to get. We just bought some more tonight actually. After we clean the spot up, we lightly mist it with Febreeze so it doesnt smell ,like cleaner, but its been working fine.

Woolite rug with oxyclean or oxyclean spray

I suck it upwith my bissel then I saturate it with the above then suck it up again then lightly spray it and leave it to dry.

Simple Solution

I don't have the bottle right here but doesn't say you have to absolutely saturate the spot and if you don't it won't be effective?

I love it too. It smells better than Natures Miracle that works just as well.

Been using Petzyme, available at Petsmart

It works great. Sometimes I also dab a wet spot with white vinegar.

Thanks Stalker Julie!!

LOL
Thanks for the tip I'll try that as well!!

Thanks Sue - thats the stuff I've been using!

I was thinking about putting it in our steam cleaner...
But don't you find the pee smell start arising from the carpet after a few days? It works great at the time but now my carpet is starting to reek!

I feel like a stalker!:)

I promise I'm not stalking you! lol:)
I've had to contend with dog and cat wee on my carpet and the best thing after washing out the worst of it is to sprinkle bicarbonate of soda (lots of it) over the area, leave untill it absorbs most of the moisture, scrape or brush it up and repeat until the bicarb is clean and dry. It seems to stop staining also.

Yup! We love it! n/m

Yep. I love it

It works great and doesn't smell that bad for a cleaner. You can mop tile with it and also dilute and use in a carpet steamer machine.

Petsmart sells it in a big gallon jug. Maybe their on-line site has it.
