Diesel's coughing too...
Submitted by admin on April 20, 2010 - 5:25pmWahhh!! I was up all night with Diesel. Looks like he has some kind of respiratory infection. Running nose (still clear) hacking cough and throwing up foamy white stuff. What is going on with our Bully's?
It is a holiday in Canada so I am hoping he can hang in there until tomorrow to see the vet. This came on awful fast. I noticed some hacking at 5pm yesterday and by 3am this morning he was a mess! I had him in the bathroom running the shower to clear him up. The puppy I was looking after was on antibiotics for a high white blood cell count but I am wondering if it was for kennel cough. Diesel's immune system isn't the greatest and the puppy didn't leave his side for a minute.
I have him on cough syrup for kids and he seems to have settled down.
I was wondering if all my dogs should be on antibiotics just as a precaution and if Diesel were to aspirate this stuff back into his lungs, what can I do while rushing him to the vet?
oh Diesel I'm sory your feeling punks...
at least your catching it early..when mojo was sick he was fine one day the next he went down fast...so if Diesels sneezing and his nose faucet is still clear ..I'd still call the vet as soon you are able ..and catch it now..some of these bugs are aweful....we didn't put all our dogs on antibiotics ..just one springer..who is always licking Mojo's face...and none of the rest caught it...
.....do you have a small portable Humidifier?we bought one on the advice of the bulldoggers here..and it really did help mojo breath.let us know how Diesel is doing...poor sweet thing ...ce
