If I didn't know any better I'd say there is a conspiracy against the bulldogs. The poodle (boooooo)
won again over the bulldog. (Duh)
However, the sweet smell of redemption filled the
auditorium, then one by one, the homes of the world were filled when the beautiful push-faced PEKE won the Best of Show. I still havn't stopped celebrating!!! (We had a Peke for 13+ years).
I'm taking Arthur to a Confirmation show in St. Louis
in June, we'll see what we can do to send the poodles back home whimpering. LOL I rally like poodles,
but bulldogs A LOT MORE!!!
It was even bigger than other years
and has been officially commended as Biggest Dogshow in the World by the Guinnes Book of Records.
But the organisation is great, the venue is so big that only in the centre the queues get too long. There is allways room to chat and see dogs, sleeping or at work. Great atmosphere, it is shame the Pound is soooooo expensive.
This year I was able to stay at my brother who is working Birmingham at the moment. The trains were on time aswell!
Go there, if you've got the change! Even if you hate dogs it is quite an experience!!!!
Yes, you can

My sis-in-law's family lives in England...maybe next year.. :)
.
I was there, too.
I went with the lady I got Flora from who is older. It was a great experience. She goes every year, but it is getting harder for her. She's got great stamina, though.
Was it just me, or did it seem that the show was not as "stuffy"
.
I DID I DID
i just love watching that stuff. They had some beautiful looking dogs there. And I am very jealous of INEKE
Re: Even better, I was there
I have several questions and was wondering if I could e-mail you in private
Even better, I was there
at Crufts in Birmingham (UK), but watched the BIS on lifetelevision. I did see the breedjudging of the Bulldogs. The winning Bitch (and BOB) was in fact a dutch Bulldog, and the winning Dog had stayed in Holland for a few months!
BTW a visit to Crufts is a great experience! Take your walking shoes, a hotel nearby and a lot of money, and soak yourself in dogs, dogs, and a lot of dogcrazy people!
