Josie is pg as stated earlier and due in 2 weeks but this morning she has the runs and I have watched what I fed her all day and she still is runny. I don't want to give he anything to hurt her pups the Question is do you think pumpkin would work on her or should I give her some of the yougurt culture (acidomphis)sp. She has a stomach of iron never any problems.

Pumpkin and/or yogurt is fine...

What always works best in my house is a bland diet of rice and boiled hamburger or chicken. Just another option...

pepto bismal, but not sure were she is nursing if that is ok or not. I use this on my dogs and horses for stomach upsets.

the pumpkin is fine and will not be harmful at all to her pups 2 tablespoons each meal should help firm things up.

I'm just being cautious. I don't want any conplications. I don't really want to withold food from her so I was trying to figure out which way to go.

I can't imagine that pumpkin would hurt her or the puppies or acidophilus or yogurt. I don't know about any of the otc diarrhea remedies. I think I would call before using them just to check.
