Cross post Training

I posted this on Show forum, but everyone there must do everything themselves and not use trainers, coaches, mentors or what ever ya call it. So maybe someone here will know.

I have a goal in mind, and the only way I can figure to meet it is to hire help. Meeting the needs of these 2 Bullies, doesn't leave me with the physical reserve to do the training I want. I know how lazy it sounds, but if I add to my schedule, I might not be able to keep up with the responsibilities I feel toward my dogs , in grooming and feeding, and cleaning.
I honestly can't do the "come in and train your dog here" type place, I live in Indianapolis, and I'd like a nice lady trainer as my pups have a sweet nature and I want to keep that, is this too much to ask? Does anyone do this?
Pups sit, come, drop it, both will go into their cages on command, so we do work with them, but need a little help.

Saw those

Looks good, But the problem is the doing of those things. I can't do the repetion it takes. I thought if I got the dog started by a trainer, I could then make progress with the dog.

OK

Thanks Lynn
Took a while before I could post.
I did find a place that does this, and it's a daycare type place. Now I gotta figure the separation thing out. They both hate to be away from each other, and if they were both gone all day I'd go crazy. I think I'll try Buddy first as he's a little older, and the puppy just got his last shots last week. I hoped they would learn from each other, if one learns the other might mock him. I've been to one BCI meeting, hoping to go to more soon. They helped a lot showing me a couple ideas that beefed up my puppy.

You might want to start by

doing a search for a Bulldog club close to you. Call and ask if they have someone that can help you with handling for shows. Also, do a search for an all breed club, they might have handling classes or someone that can work with you on an individual basis.

Good luck

well

At first just basic OB, But I was hoping if they were trained a little to stand and such dog show behavior, I could show one or both of them, even though I have limited stamina from back surgeries. That's why I know I can't do it all myself. But I believe I could work with the dog once it is started.
My goal would be to finish one of them. Which is a pretty lofty goal I guess.

Steve

What do you want to train them to do?

You said you have a goal, what is it?
