I agree, saw it on the Today show for kids....

Thought the same thing, if someone was abducting a child, they would be smart enough to take this thing off them (think it was something they wore around their wrist).

Now the micro-chip idea would be great. Even for husbands!!!

Ibelieve they mean

within 164 feet of the dog, where ever it may be. That is the circumference they can narrow the location of the dog to.

I think they mean

it's accurate within 164 feet

Good idea, but...

It will only help as long as the dog is wearing the collar or harness that contains the sensor. In the event that a dog is stolen, I'm sure the thief would immediately remove and discard any identifying collar, harness, etc.

Needless to say, I won't be buying one. However, if/when they introduce a microchip with a sensor, count me in!

maybe I am missing the point but....

it says it can only locate your pet within 164 feet. If my dog was 164 feet away, he would still be in my yard! or if we were away and he wandered off, 164 feet still doesn't seem that much of a distance. Couldn't you just call the dog? Seems like it it worked over a several mile radius that might be more helpful.
