compatability with other dogs
Submitted by admin on April 20, 2010 - 5:27pmMy girlfriend has a 1 yr old Yorkshire terrier, and I am considering getting a bulldog. Can anyone advise me, based on their experiences about the compatability of the two breeds.

If you get a puppy, should be ok
If a puppy is raised with it, and you get a laid back puppy (not a hyper one), should be ok. I've known people with Bulldogs have Bostons and some with Chihuahua's, and they learn to not be "rowdy" with them. You'll just have to be on top of it and may-be let the little one have it's own space, because a Bulldog can hurt one just by playing, until they learn better

I have a one year old Yorkie and a 14 week old bully. They are best friends. However, I have to closely watch them because the bully is still in her puppy biting phase and the Yorkie ends up becoming a chew toy!
