First, I think you all know how much this board means to me..and second I am overwhelmed with thanks you's to so many of you for your constant support, hugs and love for Cody...
where ever Cody goes he will be a part of each and everyone of you..and I will strive to keep him a member of this family here who cares for him.
I have tried to be very honest and keep you all posted about every step of Cody's journey.
....I finally read all the posts concerning him,I think..and have decided I can not and to be honest will not, defend my choice to get him out of the existance he was living....once you all made your free choice and decided to help....
I made some errs that should fall back on "my" shoulders..not anyone elses involved....and I am joyed to have Cody's big mug and his little spirit take flight to a new life that all heartbeats large and small are entittled to.
..To those who were involved yesterday..I know your hearts..and shared your tears..and agonies...and love you and applaud your efforts....
....to all who are helping behind the scenes to stop this so called breeder ..I am eternal grateful...and will continue to get you my information and documentations..to that end.
to others who have supported Cody with love, your donations, prayers or good wishes..you are my heart..and I thank you.
..to those who have been cruel in your attacks on myself and others involved in any way..I say
"You can not reason with the unreasonable"..and before you speak ..should know you can really hurt with words.Unkindness never has a place in converstion and never brings about positive results...
To those who spoke your hearts, minds and beliefs loudly or softly ... on Cody's rescue, paying for these sort of owners to go on..or how better the monies might have been used...you might be surprised to know I agree with alot of your words....and respect your views and honor your right to speak and share them..
....I certainly have no ill feelings or thoughts for any of you.
.....I want you to know I am not a newbie to rescue I have been doing them in one way or another for many years......this was indeed my first bullie rescue...
I am not a professional, only one person who can only act and speak for me...who admits I lead with my heart....I am not neutral..and unlike dear cherished Webbie do not have to be...
.....I will be letting you all know within the near future where Cody will thrive on the next step of his journey...and stress that those of us
involved...wanted him out and in a good place with health and love the goal..just because the end result changed yesterday..and that too should land on 'me'...does not mean in any shape or form that the original goal will not be achieved....thank you, love and blessings...ce

Ce - KUDOS to you!

My mother also used to say "never argue with a fool."

I think you have been doing an awesome job. Everyone has!!!

Kris

wondering??/

I can not help but wonder why the breeder of this dog wasn't contacted? I think it is the first thing that any rescue should do. After all, they are the ones that brought the dog into the world. They may not know how the dog was living. There could even be a contract for first right of refusal. I would be very upset if I wasn't contacted and it was one of my dogs.
The dogs ears did look bad and the dry eye. Otherwise I did not see the starving dog I read about. Certainly not enough to close a breeder down by State Laws.

Welcome Betty

We always enjoy new memebers to the board! Feel free to jump in, the water is fine.

Ce, you are doing a great job.

The way I see it, the more neglected, sick, abused Cody was, the more he needed to be rescued. As bad off as he is, the person who had the most experience with sick dogs of the 3 of you needed to take him, which sounds like you. You used your good judgement and intuition to take him immediately to an emergency vet to save him. He needs to be with someone who has experience, knowledge, love, and time for him to be rehabbed with his many issues. And a good home ultimately found. Who does what is not the issue, but that it gets done. You've done the right thing at every turn.
I am sure you are tired after your long trip yesterday. You've still got more roads to travel with Cody. Rest up. I am so glad the vet was encouraging about his health.

Ce

Don;t let the negativity get to you. You are doing the right thing. I know you are taking the brunt of the negatives and problems with Cody but God wouldn't have left him with you if he didn't think you could handle it. Keep your faith strong and go what ever feels right for you and Cody.

I have said before and will again

Ce is a woman who has a heart the size of the world...

Re: comments...long

Ce I think you are one of the nicest people I have "never" met. Your positive attitude, sweetness and gentleness are one of the main reason I keep reading this board. I looked at money being sent for Cody as sort of paying the ransom demands from a kidnapper. You get the child out safe and then go back and get the kidnapper. What matters most is Cody is safe.
Now with that said, when you were collecting money to buy him you let everyone know how much was needed and how much had been collected. I think you need to do the same thing with his vet bill. Everyone who donated feels like they are Cody's family and some want to stay part of the family and help with expenses. This expense should not fall on your shoulders alone.
I have posted on the board a few times but have never introduced myself. When things get back to normal I will do that and try to learn how to post pictures. Thanks, Ce for all you do.

Have not had a chance to read all but---

It was everyones choice here to help pitch in and whomever didnt care for it had a choice not to help. So all of us who did--or were glad that Cody was being helped it was "our" choice! No one made us do this. I havent read all the posts-a couple of ones that were not so nice. And im sure all of us would not take anything back or regret anything at all that has been done to help this poor dog. Thankyou to everyone!!!!! I hope no one who helped pull this whole thing off gets upset with any of the negative posts. Everyone deserves a big hug--handshake--pat on the back and a great big CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! Joanne and Bruno

Hay CE, that is no fair....lol...I have to be neutral and you don't.....lol...

Well said Ce and again point is respected greatly and thanks for everything you and everyone has done to help out! In life you get views from all sides, if we all were the same there would be no point to anything.
The point was those who choose to doante did so in there own free way. No where was it requred or any person made to do that. So since that was the case, people are free to spend there own money for what they choice to. No one can argue about that. Maybe this breeder will meet some things he was not expecting to soon, maybe some thinsg will happen, maybe cody will get fully recovered, I hope so! Good luck to cody and thanks to everyone who had an opinion!

APPLAUSE---APPLAUSE

Well said and I will stand beside you or behind you in everything you said.
I believe we did the right thing if not it wouldn't have work out this way.
Everyone has a right to their oppions just like I do I do not have to like or accept them or even acknowledge them.
But I know in my heart we were right to do what we did. And you were so great in putting it together so fast.
WE HAVE A GREAT FAMILY HERE .
Are you keeping Cody for awhile if so I still would like to send you some care pakages for your babies and Cody. You will need alot of supplies not counting the vet bill
