Colorado Springs Specialty (Pics)

Here are a couple of pics from the Colorado Spings Specialty Show.

These two are of the BOB line up.

Buster was a lovely dog

A beautiful head, yes, I see the simiarity.

I have always liked Warrior as well...

His head reminds me so much of my first bully, Buster. This probably has a lot to do with his markings, but I can't help but thing of Buster whenever I see Warrior. I know it's hard to tell in this picture (it's the only one I have right now), but Buster's and Warrior's head-type and head markings are very similar.

Re: Brian, suggetion...

I didn't do it in the pictures but the last day I did and I was told she looked better. I also tried moving her feet back a little but she seems to get long when I do that. Mike Brunk thought she need a few more pounds and maybe that will help, I also have to remember she is still only 19 months. Someone also told me to push the wrinkles across her neck down a little.
I have pictures of Dottie the last day when I put her legs back and pushed her chest up at home and will post them later to get your opionon.

Brian, suggetion...

Does Dottie "sink" in the middle, where if you put her under the ribs she'll pull herself back up? Also, try not holding the head quite so high, that is what makes the dip more accented showing the butt higher. Try lowering it a little more and see if that makes a difference.

She is a pretty girl, and without seeing her movement, that is the only thing I would notice wrong as far as being a little high in the rear.

Judy, on the dogs...

I won't mention separate dogs, but as I referred to the winner, Warrior as balanced and nice top line and tail set, look at the picture of the line up with the side profiles. Notice how they differ on top line, some a little too dippy, some with too high a tail set, etc. These are all the things you look at in making a comparison.

I love Warrior, very nice pictures of him.

I had bred Chancey to him, but she didn't take. Will try again, because I really like Warrior. He is so nicely balanced, and love his top line and tail set.

My Phooey is from Mike and Mary Brunks Ch. Rudyks Louie Louie, a beautiful special they had.

Going to a show

Gary, you will love it. You just have to find a show near you and attend as a spectator. It is so much fun to watch all of the bullies get prepared to show, and to watch them in the ring.
Just be careful to not talk to the handler/breeder right before they go into the ring. Most of them will be very happy to answer your questions and talk to you after they have been in the ring.

Those are some great pictures! All of them posted by Albert and by Brian! It certainly gives the feel of being right there at the show. Thank you so much for sharing the picutres of all of those beautiful bullies.

These two are of my boy, Charlie.

and the winner Is....

Ch. Manorbull's Stalwart Warrior! Took Best of Breed both days.

Sorry for the bad pic, maybe someone can fix it?

Brian ...

What program did you use to clear up those pics? They look great!

Incredible line ups

I just gotta go to my first bulldog show, those are great pics.

Re:Colorado Springs Specialty (Pics).

Albert just sent some pictures of Dottie to me and thought I would post them!.
Thanks Albert!
Feel free to critique!, you won't hurt my feelings, it's nice to hear what others think and it may be something I' not seeing and will only help me next time out.
I know she is tall in the rear and is something I need to work on but what else do you see?.

judykids's picture

Anyone brave enough to critic the bullies so

as we could see what the judges are looking for. Also who won.

Re: Colorado Springs Specialty (Pics)

Great pictures!, do you have any more?

Nice pictures, gives everyone a judges view....

Especially showing the line up of the top lines, let's people see how each dog varies, and what the judge has to look at and decide.
