doing okay I guess. We spent the night cuddling with Diamond and telling her how much we love her. I haven't stopped thinking about Cody since Wednesday, especially since yesterday. I am so glad to hear that he is doing at least a little better. I am curious what the vet has to say about all of his problems. Give all your pups lots of hugs and kisses from us!

How are you guys doing today? Bet you gave Diamond the biggest hug when you got home last night. It really is hard to think about anything but Cody...

Isn't it wonderful news that he's improving? Maybe a sign of more good things to come....

I am happy to hear that some things don't seem as bad as we thought they were. As far as Cody's home goes, it is a long way down the road. We need to get him healthy first. Also, it is not our decision. This is something for the board to decide when we see how Cody is. Everything depends on what Cody needs.

Thanks so much for sharing Cody's news with us, ce. I can only imagine how exhausted you guys must be. Your news is good...which is such a blessing. Maybe our Cody will have his chance after all, eh?

very very Happy Cody is getting better....
and as for you Ce.....wow strong lady:)
I will still help in any way I can to help Cody have a good home...when the time comes for that...now is healing time for him....

on the extent of his rehabilitation and how much damage he has is irreversible.

Having spent time with him yesterday, it is frankly hard for us to imagine him ever being able to say...go up and down stairs...or even go for a walk on a leash.

We have no idea yet how permanent or to what extent his hearing and vision loss is.

Will he be able to be housebroken? Will he ever be able to exist in a house where both people work or will he need to have someone there with him?

What about a household with the possibilies of young children? Could he handle that?

What if he remains in need of a "special needs" type home?

I think we are SOOO far down the road from the answers to all those questions. I think the job of the moment is to see him recover physically and deal with all his health and emotional issues.

When the time comes for the next set of decisions after that...I know we will all still be here for him.

I hardly slept last night just kept Cody on my mind, I nearly drove Thoe crazy hugging and kissing on him. This is the best mothers day gift anyone could get to know that this angel will be okay.

I can donate more $$ too, if its needed, and i would have fun putting together a care package...hey i'm good at that, sending them to Iraq all the time..
