and the vet checked his teeth and throat...and for some sort of nerve damage..that might be causing Cody mouth, tongue and swallow reflex not to work in sucession....the teeth need cleaning but are not causing any eating troubles....and he couldn't come up with any nerve damage...
Cody does have an elongated palate and some extra tissue ...but it has been that way for a long time...
and he can not imagine if that was the sole problem that Cody would still be here ....but of course hopes that if we have the palate surgery that it will give Cody relief...but he also wants us top weight the risk of the surgery......he also once again asperated the lump..and there have been no changes...
,.....he does think there is a possiblity that Cody is in discomfort or pain...but of course Cody showed no hints of pain ..he was just all love and nuzzles...
but it appears that Cody can not bend his head/neck downwards and only partly to the sides...which would indeed explain why he can not put his head in a bowl to eat....we are trying some rimadyl for any inflamation...and will continue to hand feed him 3 x's or more a day...with is 4 foot tongue ..he does not have a problenm drinking...chuckle...
...The vet couldn't believe how much better Cody's eyes are..and how much better he looks and that he actually walked into the office...all wonderful signs...I'll keep ya'all posted ..of course ...and keep those white light good vibes coming...blessings..ce
