now that may should like a well of course he can...but he hasn't since we brought him home...
and a bit ago...I finished feeding all the yelpster gumbo gang..and then they all plop and nap..
well Cody wanted to play..and went to each sleeping yelp and barked at them...they just rolled over..so he went to the next and the next..and a sharp loud bark ....two times and each sleeping snoring furball...
I am so pleased...of course I had to show him that it's nap time..and put him in his sleeping quarters...where he promptly also fell sound asleep ..and is now adding to the chorus of snores...smiling wide I be...ce
Way to go Cody!!
Now you can give them heck once in a while!!
Kim & Daisy
no ....Cody still hears nothing at all...
but like I mentioned to Jane above...he can indeed feel his bark ..and is very delighted with himself...chuckle
...also as sad and un-necessary as it was that he should be deaf..I think he has been this way for along time...under some of the gunk way down in his ears are some old scar tissue over old sores....so I think he is used to not hearing...
however he is fascinated with feeling sound....
his bark,my voice on his cheek...vibrations when I walk across the floor...anything that makes him feel sound..he is absolutely blissed about...it is an amazing gift to watch these discoveries...thanks and bullie slurps...ce
Ce that is wonderful

Wonder, too

Re: Cody can bark!!!!!
Since he has just started to bark do you think it's possible that he's starting to get his hearing back??? Just wondering if the two might go together.

This is great!!
Ce, you have no idea how much your posts on Cody's progess mean to me. Even the posts where he is not doing so good are important to me. The post you made about his eating this morning was great. I was in tears when you told about having to tell him no. I have a deaf girl, and she reacted the same way the first time I corrected her. She now knows that "no" does not mean that we no longer love her. In fact, she has learned that if she does not look at us, we cannot tell her no.
Smart little girl, this one.
Anyway, I digress.
I am so very happy that Cody is staying with you where he is getting so much love and care. You and Cody both have stolen my heart.
Blessings to all.
Jane
