CODY

Hello everyone,
I have been reading with great interest about the wonderful people here who have worked so hard to save Cody. Sue emailed me and asked if I would be able to take Cody, and try to make him healthy again. My answer is a big YES!!!!!!
I have a fantastic vet who gives rescue a slight break in prices, and he is a very caring vet who will do everything possible to help Cody. I am a part of the BCA Rescue Network, and sometimes we can get some financial help from our Division. I will check that out later. The first and foremost thing is Cody.
I have room here for him. It must have been Divine intervention that I homed my last rescue on Monday. I say this because now I can spend all of my time and effort with Cody.
Please let me know where he is now, and when I can get him, if he is able to travel.
I will, of course, stay with the forum and let you all know how he is progressing.
I am looking forward to being a part of this and being a member of this forum.
Jane

Hi Jane, Welcome and THANK YOU for all your...

offers to help Cody, you sound like an incredible lady...are you related to CE? LOL.
XOXOXOXO, SHaron and Roxie

Cody

I felt the same form CE's last post. If CE wants to keep Cody and care for him, I certainly will not be adverse to that. If Ce wants me to take him and get him well, I will be more than happy to do that. I will do whatever is best for Cody, and for the folks who are working so hard to help him.

Not a Saint

Thank you all for the very warm welcome! I have been meaning to come to this forum, but always somehow got sidetracked. But now, I am here, and I am here to stay. <G>
I do have two lovely rescue girls from Florida. Daisy is 9 and Sunflower is 10. I also have Dipper who is an 8 yr old deaf girl, and Buster who is 10 yrs old. Buster is not neutered and is too old to go through the surgery. I will not place an unneutered dog, so Buster will stay with us. Samson is a 4 yr old who is being treated for heartworm. I recently had to put my 12 yr old Roxie to sleep due to cancer. Samson has eased the pain of loosing Roxie and has completely bonded with Lynn (DH), so he is staying also. And last but not least is Belly Button who is a blind Lhasa Apso mix.
I am not a saint. I just have a passionate love for Bulldogs, and I try to give back to the breed the joy and happiness they give so willingly to their humans.
At a later time, I will tell you about my first Bulldog Icee and how she helped me to overcome a very life threatening illness.
I will do another post about Cody, so that this does not get so terribly long, which it already is! <vbg>

Beautiful

Sounds like the perfect situation for Cody.

Welcome, Jane!

What a wonderful gift! It sounds like you have the right mixture of love, knowledge, experience, etc. to be able to help him. Ce's last post sounded like she was thinking of maybe keeping him. I am sure he is winding his way into her heart.

not permanent

Jane cares for and mends the rescues and when they are ready to be placed, finds only the BEST home for them. Families that will insure their health and happiness. You can be asssured if Jane allows a dog to go to a family, the dog will spend the rest of their life in a loving and caring environment. I believe she even does follow-ups throughout as well to be sure all is going well.

That's great............

Welcome Jane and Thank you so much!!

Will that be a permanent home, or just while he is being

rehabilitated?? Only asking becuz if it's the latter, I'll be happy to ask around and see if I can find someone who will give him a permanent home when he is ready.

Jane, our bullie angel saint

Thank you so much for reading and being able to take this sweet boy. If anyone can mend him, you sure can and I have seen proof of what you do for these poor babies.

Jane is a miracle worker with a heart the size of Texas and has two adorable bullie girl rescues herself, or are there more now staying with you permanently ?

If I can do anything to help as far as transport, etc, please let me know.

Betsy has already received a small check from us to be used for our local rescue efforts and if ever there was a case, Cody is it.

WE LOVE YOU JANE!!!!!!!

Hugs (( )) and kisses to you, Lynn and the girls.

Jane..

Limit of 5

Where Ce lives, there is a limit of 5 dogs per household and she has 5, which could have been one of the reasons Kristae offered to take him.

OMG yes Icee :) and sunflower

Oh how I remember the names....I miss going to aol post and reading...even thou I keep the e-mail and pay for that I do miss the board....brong more wonderful people with ya ---we do have a few here now

How wonderful!

I know she has 2 older greyhounds that are having ongoing medical problems that she is caring for already and a total of 5 dogs. So that is a lot. Plus children. She may well take you up on your offer.

home

If Cody comes to me, I will keep him as long as it takes to rehabilitate him. After he is well, I will leave it to the folks here as to whether I should find a home for him, or if someone here wants to give him a good loving home.
