Cody

Okay, I'll fess up. I didn't see Cody as being a "rescue". From what I gathered, he was an adult male no longer needed by his greedy owner. People are allowed to sell their dogs, no big deal to that, it's done all the time. I figured Cody would probably have some house-breaking issues and require the neutering, but not much more than that. It appeared to me that we were basically buying a dog that had out-grown his usefulness to one owner and prevent him from being further exploited.

I contributed what I felt I could because I could see how important it was to Ce and I have come to recognize her heart of gold is genuine.

But these photographs show me the whole saga. And now I know that CODY IS A RESCUE and IS a news story. Cody's story can bring an end to the despicable behavior of one "breeder" and serve as a warning to others.

Sic 'em!!!!

Possible Pet Store

A girl I work with bought two bulldogs from a pet shop in the northwest suburbs close to where I live. Sue and Sumo may know where it is because i know she lives close. I think it is called Puppies are Happiness or something like that. She did say that the pups came from a breeder in Iowa. I just wonder if that guy may be the one as her dog is just beautiful and light in color like the picture of Cody. If so, maybe bad publicity would stop them from getting pups from this guy. Can you give me Cody's registered name and i can check with her if that name is on her AKC papers. I never realized the extent of the problem with puppymill breeders as I am sure a lot of other people don't.

That is Horrible

How could they treat that poor dog that way.
After the vet sees him or before he needs to have a big glob of Bag Balm put on that nose. I realize that is a small issue compared to his other problems but they must be resolved by a vet. His nose though we can help with by telling the new owner to keep putting something on it twice a day and I do believe that a little black shiny nose is under that crud after it softens and can be wiped away. He has been sorely neglecked.

Someone needs to post email/phone numbers

Do I remember correctly that this is in Iowa? If so, can someone find the email to the various TV stations that would serve the area, of the newspaper (Des Moines Register), of the State licensing, veterinarian association, etc.??? Then we can all start bombing them with emails and complaints.

I say lets all shut this guy down----we all helped to

get Cody out of there now lets all get this guy....I will help in any way I can to get Cody help--so he can live the rest of his life proud and happy....and not live like the slime like his old owner-breeder does.........

well said...

And I especially like the last part...Sik 'em!

Call the news,
call the cops,
call the humane societies,
and let all hell break loose for Cody and all the other poor souls who are sick or have died from neglect and abuse!
