Thought you all might enjoy this news article link regarding the first annual "Running of the Bulls" feature of the University Place Duck Parade held this past Saturday (Seattle area).

I was planning to attend, but decided against it for a couple reasons:

1) 1) Lance's younger sons, Justin (age 7) & Tyler (age 6), came over for the weekend with horrible sun-burnt/blistered skin. Imagine two red-headed, fair-skinned boys complaining all weekend long about how bad their shoulders and back hurt. =(

2) It was WAY too hot for me to risk my dogs having complications in the heat. I had my doggie overheating first aid kit all ready to go, but my conscience kept telling me that it really wasn't a good idea to go.

The weather on Saturday was around 90 degrees here, but I received a report later that no bullies overheated at the parade, and that everyone had a great time. The bullies brought up the tail end of the parade, and they were very well received! After completing the 10-block parade route, the bullies relaxed at a nearby park, cooling off in wading pools. There is already talk of next year's event... hopefully with slightly cooler weather.
