He knows how well off he is, I am sure. There has got to be some mystery answer to this swallowing thing, though. It is quite perplexing.

Is there any chance that the damage in his ears has affected his eating? My friend's bullie had a really bad ear infection that caused his jaw to recede, to the point where he couldn't chew. His little bullie teeth didn't even stick out. Just a thought....

Oh ce, it must break your heart. We will never truly know everything that Cody has been through in his life. I have a feeling it is more than we know. It is such a blessing that he is with you...the type of person with so much love and patience...

but the canned food mixed with kibble ..and then hand fed in little bits ,by placing it on the middle of his lagging tongue...just by his pout lip...seems to be getting in more food then anything else we've tried...
so we are doing this several times a day...and he keeps most of it down...
....and Cody is enterng his first pupster-hood ..I think..now that he has discovered what a home is...he is fascinated with chewing //everything!!!!

of course we most likely are to blame for his confussion...he was a outdoor,kenneled bullie...and in our house almost all the furniture is wicker,or tree or twig chairs,tables,,,couches...etc....poor thing ...sticks every where..and all bitter appled scented...
...he's such a love...It's odd correcting him...he can not hear...so I have to show him..and do the no hand sign...but he got so crushed the first time I corrected him..he cowered..layed in a corner and put his paws over his nose..and groaned...It was heart breaking..so I have to approach him carefully..so he learns ...but knows he is loved..and anyone can make mistakes...when I cuddled him after he was all nuzzles and burying his head into my face..and I know he is confussed about the whole thing...in time he'll know love first...and he can do nothing that will make us every not adore him...and he has to learn the rules..but needs to understand no one is angry at him...
