found this on the 2nd page and I didn't want it to get lost there...to answer your question about biting:
wow...

that sounds exactly the same with Sumo. At about what age did Audrey stop this behavior? Also, Sumo would kind of jump at our hands, give it a little nip and then jump away. Constantly doing that jumping in and out, if that makes any sense?? (Like put your left foot in, put your left foot out and shake it all about, but instead of feet in his case his mouth)lol Also, as his mouth is getting larger, he is starting to put our whole forearm into his mouth, rarely applies any significant pressure but still a concern. Was this the same behavior as Audrey??
Audrey stopped when I changed the way I reacted to it, about 10-11 months old. Yes, she would jump in and bite, only for her it was pouncing on our hands and feet under the blankets. She did bite my husband's arms and hands when they played on the floor, more than me, also. The key for Audrey is that I have to stay SUPER calm. I talk to her very softly, low-voiced as I can get. I have to be touching her. She doens't wear a collar or harness so if she is having trouble calming down I hold her neck wrinkle, but again the key is I have to be extra super calm and gentle with her. Once she is listening to me instead of chewing on me I still make sure my hands are touching her somewhere. It really works also when she is starting to get CRAZY playing with her rope tug toy, and when the other dogs come around when she is playing and she starts to get aggressive with them. She seems to mimick my attitude, the calmer and quiter I get, the calmer and quieter she gets. She still will put my fingers in her mouth but it is so far from the previous biting I don't stop it. It's more like a baby with a pacifier than an actual chomping puppy bite.
