Submitted by Anonymous on April 20, 2010 - 5:26pmthing has got me stressed!!!! Ok I finally figure out how to work the camera, take great photos then comes the wonderful part of creating an account. Ok, no problem I do that, then I go to upload the pics and it tells me it can't be any bigger than 128kb. How is that possible? The pics look horrible!! 70x70 is a horrible pixel!!! Then it says for large pics 50kb, that's nothing!. I don't get it and I'm getting mega ssssttttrrreeessseeeeedddd!!!! HELP!!!! I hate it, I hate it, I HATE IT!!!!

sorry for the double post. After I hit the button to post the first reply, it just disappeared, and still wasn't there when i exited the message board and came back. Then all of it a sudden, it came back.
When you say the pic looks horrible after reducing it to
128kb or less, looks horrible where?? Printed out? In the little window in network54's Temp file? Or when posted here on the message board?
It should not look horrible when posted here. All the photos you see on the board are around 50 to 100kb. I'll be happy to post a photo for you, just email it to me. 50kb is just about the right size for most photos posted on the board.

Actually, 50 kb is not a bad size for posting a photo on the board. Most of the ones I post are between 50 kb and 80 kb. Have you tried posting one at 50Kb or thereabouts to see how it looks on the board? A photo that small when printed out may not look so good, but can still look good on the board.
Do you have a photo editing program? If so, and you still need help posting a photo, email me. Also, what megapixel is your camera? I have a 4 megapixel camera and it takes photos that average about 1 MB in size. Thus, when I reduce those photos to about 50 kb, I'm reducing their size by about 95% but they still look great on the board. So should your photos.

I tried for like over an hour one day to post a pic I had scanned into my computer. Finally it fell into an edit mode and I noticed that I could resize it, it was like 1200x900 pixels so I changed them to 640x480 I believe and then it uploaded no problem. Go figure I still don't know any more than I did! Hope you get your problem figured out soon! Malinda
