What are some other safe "chew toys". Sweet Pea loves bullysticks, Greenies and Nylabones - what else can I give her to satisfy her chewing needs? She destroys anything that is soft in a matter of minutes! (She is a year old)
I love the name !!!! This is what I have done. I have purchased stuffed animals for 25 cents at garage sales and taken them home and washed them and just let Spencer destroy them. Rope toys are good, kong toys, nylabones, rubber bones and edible nylabones don't seem to last more than 10 minuted in my house. When I do to the store, sometimes they have stuffed toys with squeakies in it that are made for heavy chewers with double stitched seams. If you puppy is teething try a towel dipped in water and put in the freezer. The cold seems to help really well with sore gums. Good luck!
It's a HUGE hig with Grover too. Loves to wrap his paws around the "meat" and gnaw on the "bone." But he's a Galileo addict, and I know a lot of bullies here could not care less about them. Then, Grover can't stand ANYthing rubbery. Hates Kongs, Tirebiters, everything. To each his own.
Nylabones are the way to go in my opinion. Even more so than Greenies and Bullysticks because they are edible and disappear quicker. (More of a safety hazard.) That's not to say Grover's never had a greenie or bullystick - he loves them! I just choose not to give them to him anymore. I know I can get up for two seconds and leave Grover to get a soda without worrying that he's going to inhale a chunk of his Nylabones.

They love nylabones, and we own probably every make & model they've ever made. I only buy the hard nylabones, though... no gumabones or edibles. Most recently, I purchased a "turkey leg" nylabone, from their new "Big Chew" line. It's a hit! Their other favorite is the dinosaur dental bone.
Other than nylabones, the Tire-Biter is holding up pretty well so far, and also the solid rubber toys are okay (Nylabone Rhino-Bones, Kongs, Pedigree brand toys, and a bone I bought at Old Navy).
Maybull is also an agressive chewer. We found she likes ropes that are knotted and sealed on the ends (good for games of tug), marrow bones (big ones!) and even sterilized bones. We also give her stuffed toys, under supervision only, and watch her destroy them in 10 minutes or so (but she does love to do it). She also likes tennis balls, which are the perfect size. She can get them into her outh, but she can't tear them apart because they are just a little too big.
raw, from the butcher. he gets them outside though cause they are kind of messy. It's the only thing he absolutely LOVES to chew on, as he is not a toy kind of a dog. He liks the occasional greenie too or bully stick, but the bully sticks made him puke so that's when I tried the marrow bones and they've worked fine. clean teeth too

I bought the Turkey Bone just the other night!

What are bullysticks
we use the nylabones.
Pepper & Grady are toy-destroyers, too...

Bella love her turkey leg too
it is a little heavy for her but she works hard at keeing it from Bosco. I too have most of them, and will get some more for puppies when in Canada.

Toys for chewers...

Bubba LOVES his turkey bone too!!!
He loves anything nylabone-ish and they are virtually indestructible. Bubba eats anything that is stuffed.
Spike loves marrow bones
