bully baby mom-to-be needs help choosing name!

Hi everyone. I am new to the board but have been reading religiously since I found it! I am getting a baby boy pup (red and white) on July 11th. This is my first bulldog. My fiance and I are deciding between 2 names and wanted to get opinions from people who have bulldogs...

Our two choices are "Winston" and "Lambert"...

Thanks!

Winston is my favorite

because my first Bulldog was called Winston.

Sir Winston when he got older, but not very original, because it is a common name for Bulldogs.

Did you know Winston Churchill had a Bulldog, during the war?

Oops, sorry met bullfrog snitches, not bulldog.

Too much wine

You may not like my names

But I decided if I am ever able to get another bulldog (am limited right now with 3 dogs and 6 cats) I will name him Grunt, Snart or Bluto. Grunt and Snart are obvious if you have ever owned a bulldog. Bluto comes from the Popeye cartoon where the bulldog snitches on Bluto saying "Bluto did it". If Jez were a boy that name would suit her perfectly. Everytime I come home and another phone book is torn to shreds, the two other dogs look at me as if they were saying "Jessie did it".

Re: poor Ruby...

I have a Ruby too and I am amzed that we don't have any of the same nicknames. I call Ruby, Boo, Boobie, Bullbutt, Bullie, Pumpkinhead, Pumkinbutt, Pumpkin, and I think that about covers it I call my friend's bullie Daisy , Reeka, Reekaroo or Reekie girl, because she always stinks. Why call them by their real name? Where's the fun in that?

Too many Winstons

Go for Lambert

ok, just posted some above... from a few days ago

still working on getting through the new camera's manual.

Lambert

Winston is such a common bullie name. Lambert is great - it fits the breed and not common:)

sure - i've been taken lots of pics but haven't figured out how

get them to post from the new camera... silly me!

- Cristina

Lambert got my vote

very cute name

Congrats on the soon to be addition

I vote for Lambert. I like the nickname you came up with (my little lamb chop)...hehehe

Sue

I am in LOVE with LAMBERT!

It sounds soooooo sweet! What a BULLY-ful name!

Unique and sweet!
Love it!

Both are great

but I sorta like Lambert.

New Idea - Romeo

We absolutely love our dog being named Homer, but if we could change it to anything in the world it would be Romeo. This is mainly because he is so darn loveable all of the time. (Definitely a lover not a fighter). Just a thought . . .

I'll hang in a vote for Lambert...

for those of us on the board who get these wild insane urges to make week long projects ..including the bullies pictures here...well, we have two wonderful Winstons..here but no Lambert..and it would for me, selfishly, help me keep my files straight...chuckle...
but I admit both names are awesome....ce

Cristina how about a pic update of Leeloo

We haven't seen her in awhile and would love to see her development.

thanks, I'm so torn...

Winston just seems so fitting but I would like to be a little original. And Lambert could be my little lamb chop!

poor Ruby...

I call her Rub, Ruba, Rubert, Ruben, my lil' Ruben sandwich, Ruby doo, brat, booger, pudge, bullie baby, schnook, schnookums...

She will probably be pschysophrenic...hey, she'll fit in just fine around my family after all..lol

I have to agree about the tushie, Ruby's is way cute too. She has a crookie little tail...I love it.

That's better than my nickname for Leeloo...

"tushy" 'cuz she just has the cutest bum ever! Tee hee hee! Plus she doesn't seem to mind me calling her that! LOL

Winston...

like that one better... no reason, just sounds better to me! Congrats on your new baby!!!

My first instinct was...

Winston, but then I thought if his name was Lambert you could call him Lambie or Lambie~kins.

Honestly I don't know why I even bothered to name Ruby, I am always calling her something different. Usually a variation of her name, but a lot of times, 'Brat' because she is soooo rotten. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I would go for Lambert-because

I choose Winston and thought I was being sooo orginal...well then you see I find out there are millions of Winstons out there!

But obviously I am really fond of the name Winston-but I have never heard a Lambert before! Congratulations on your new pup!

I love both...

but I know that Winston is very common in Bullies. I think because of Winston Churchill... I love Lambert too... Good luck and congratulations on your baby boy. My dog's name is Otis. That is kinda common too..
