The bulldogs of BDW salute the 12th Aviation Brigade:
[Because of the number of bulldogs, two photos were required; apologies to anyone whose bulldog is not included -- once I got past 50 bulldogs it became very difficult to remember who was in and who was not, plus I also could not locate photos of some bulldogs.]
Here is the photo of the brigade's first bulldog battalion, with a special salutation to Cody incribed on the lead tank:
And here is the brigade's second bulldog battalion:
Special thanks to Ce for her invaluable contributions of the background photos and of photos of many of the bulldogs. And also a special thanks to our English friends, Lynn and Oscar, for figuring out how to take an incredibly beautiful photograph of the desert that was a bit too narrow, duplicating the photograph, and then merging the original and its duplicate so as to provide a much wider panorama, which allowed for the inclusion of many more bulldogs.
If anyone is interested, this is how the photograph (original provided by Ce) looked after Lynn's magic. It is IMO a very stunning photograph, as is the second photo above:
Awesome Work Gary and Thank You.
Thank you for using Willow and Cody. Cody is hysterical standing on the tank. My husband is going to appreciate these pictures - Army vet.
Couldn't use the British parachute photo
Wanted to, but just couldn't squeeze it in. Is there some way to make the sky taller in those two background photos (for my future reference)?
Glad to hear that Oscar is doing better. And thanx once more for your great help with the photo project!
Yes -- were you able to find Lily?
I had to put her in that lower right corner becuz the only photo I had of her was of her poking her head out from under a table. Most of her body is not visible in that photo.
Gary that is great. Was that why you needed to pics
I am still working on that. I might be able to get a scanner today.
A bulldogsworld art gallery??
That's a very good idea. Wonder if webbie will go for it? And of course, this anonymous unnamed, fried chicken swilling Cajun is being purely objective.
We should start a special album for this stuff!
It's always so amazing!
it is indeed the 12th
and they were part of the german (well the americans in germany) unit for the war, so it is very fitting indeed, and hubby is going to love it...
Lu

I should have typed that message title in invisible ink, lol, might give some people some ideas.
That's hilarious!
I wrote that at around one in the morning while in the midst of exhaustion and near delusions from the pain in my hands. I had no idea what it meant when I wrote it, or even now, the following morning. When you have some time, maybe you can give me an interpretation, lol.

I love it. Thanks for including Buddy, the newbie.
Betty, Buddy and Mighty Dog
Thanx -- but I keep having nightmares that Lu will call and say
that I got her husband's unit number wrong, lol. If it turns out he is in the 7th or 10th Aviation Brigade instead of the 12th, I'm going to have to bury my head in the sand until Boo and Clovis get hungry and come drag me out of there.
Wonderful
Wow, Gary these are just awesome. I'm afraid to ask how long it took both you and Ce to put this all together. A round of applause to you both.

Thanks for including my fat boy, I saw him peaking up over the sand

Hmmm, r u sure you and Jane aren't creatures from a Twilight Zon
Lol, if you two can make sense of that sentence, you may both have super powers, or would that be supernatural powers?
It is a pretty good idea
I keep all the photo editing projects I do on file, but not the text that accompanies many of them. But I do like the idea. I wonder if webbie can set up a link that will retain the projects, tho, since the photos we post on the message board are automatically deleted after two weeks or so.
Holy Cow Gary
Thats really cool .....Screen savers now...
Thanks
Thank you for the explanation about the Jif jar! There must be something wrong with me....maybe lack of sleep....I understood what you said! LOL

This stuff is so special ... hate to see it eventually get lost.
Hope you guys, as the creators, are able to preserve it too .. on CDs or whatever.

Joanna & Sheldon
Also, Jif the Jar was in the cast of my bulldog version of The U
which was the first "project" I posted on this board. That was before I even knew what a photo editing program is, so it's pretty crude in retrospect.
Jif is a sublime yet erudite metahpor for the existential
vagaries of bulldog life. Just don't ask me what that means. Sorry, as Ce can attest to, doing a zillion cut-outs causes temporary delusions.
The Jif jar is sort of a running joke r.e. Boo and Clovis. They are both crazy for Jif peanut butter and Popeye's fried chicken, so I often include Jif the Jar and Popeye the Box in my photos. I didn't include poor Popeye this time around because I have to make the box fairly large in order to read the print on it. The number of bulldogs in these two photos did not leave much space for that.
This is soooooooo AWESOME!!!!!
Wonderful job Gary and anyone else involved..!! You guys are wonderful..!!
Lu,
Thank God your husband has returned safe and healthy.. All our prayers have been answered!!!
Great!!!
Gary,
What a wonderful job you have done!! You are right, the original photo is really something, but IMHO it looks better now that you have fixed it up with all of those Bullies!!
Question: Since I am reasonably new here, is there a special significance to the Jif peanut butter jars in each of the pictures?
Jane
Lu, if you see this, that's a bottle of bulldog beer in front of
be careful, tho, if he drinks too much Red Dog, he may turn into a bulldog!! The beer is there to make him an honorary bulldog until then.
Jacob -- thanx!
