bull terrier!! [better known as the bull terror] haha

a few people asked for pics of my other kiddo..

this is neo neo, my bull terrier, who will soon get to meet her little brother, royal.

neo neo is very sweet, bull terriers get the "crazies" too just like bullies, they will rip around the house, throw themselves into walls, ect ect hahaha
i have heard people tell me they are agressive with other dogs, mine isn't so i guess i am lucky.
she is very smart, sweet, and confident.
very independent. i can definatly say i have never owned another dog like her [even very different from pits and amstaffs which they are often compared to for some reason..]

i hope that picture works, if not i will try again!

beautiful and one of my favorite breeds!smile

hehe tinker bell. too cute!

wonderful!! that gives me hope that she and royal will get along next month when they finally meet!

thank you!!

i have heard some are couch potatoes and some aren't.. neo neo is somewhere in between. she i first got her she was a year old. i found a couple who was giving her up because they were having a baby, so i didn't have to deal with all the puppy business.
however, prior to that i was on a waiting list with another breeder who told me most breeders get over half thier puppies back within the first year because they are such hard puppies to train/deal with. they chew EVERYTHING, i have heard stories about bull terriers eating thru walls, eating couches, pulling up rugs, pulling down curtains, ect ect, all before the age of one year. but i swear, literally, the day they turn one year, they calm down.
its pretty bizarre.
when she lived with me, i would run with her 2 or 3 miles in the morning, and then my roommate would hike the mountain with her in the evening.. this seemed to do the trick of calming her down [and get us in shape!!]. now she is staying with my parents while i finish my degree work [since i have to live in an apartment which i knew neo neo would NOT be happy about] and they have a few acres for her to run on. my mom still takes her on a jog in the morning, and it really does the trick.
i am amazed when i see her now, she will be three in august and she has REALLY calmed down.
i hope my Royal does the same, right now he is a wild child! hahah

if you want a few breeder references let me know, feel free to email me with more questions and stuff too!

Sharp looking bull terrier... :)

Arthur had a BT in his class named Thunder. A beautiful dog with a very sweet and shy disposition.
Thanks for pics...

Ohhhhhh Cassandra, I love her!

what a sweetie pie, I just love their Roman noses! I saw one in person once, a male, I was surprised how big they are. They are all muscle and very large boned. Intimidating upon approach, but very nice dogs. My husband REALLY wants one. I would get a second greyhound, but he says the only dog we can get is the BullTerrier. I'm just worried about having a puppy in the house with two adult male dogs, and where to get one with good lines.

They are not couch potatoes right? Do you have to keep her active and engaged, or is she okay as long as she goes on a long walk everyday? The one bully I saw was walked everyday, this is how I used to run into him and his owner. Thanks for posting the photo, can't wait to see photos of her and Royal together
Nettie

i knew i missed a ?

she doesn't make much noise, if someone comes to the door she barks, but that is about it.
she will growl playfully when playing, and gives a great warning growl when the play has turned from fun to mean... which is nice, i always know when to seperate her from the other dogs because her voice will change

stacibix's picture

there's a bull terror at our dog park that farcus loves...

to play with.. her name is tinker bell ----love it!

some answers!

the skin problems are similar, however, they don't have the breathing problems or the eye problems...
her personality is very independent, she likes to hang out by herself, loves to lie in the sun, she loooves to spoon haha, and she is very friendly with dogs and people.
people either love her or are scared of her.. it's really unfortunate that the bull breeds have gotten such a bad rapbecause they really do love people and kids..
they do play rough. a lot rougher than most breeds. i find she has the best time playing with pits, amstaffs and am. bulldogs because their owners don't get to freaked out by the roughness they play with naturally.
she definatly would never start a fight, but if someone starts it with her, she will show her tough side
overall, i think they are awesome dogs. i always said i wouldn't own anything but a bull terrier but circumstance lead me to find a less active breed..
also, she can not stand the cold. if it drops below 50 she is shivering and freaking out. i don't know if they are all like that, she lives in AZ so maybe she is just spoiled

ifyou have any more questions, feel free to email me !! i love talking bullies [whether the terriers or the bulldogs]

thanks!! n/m

?? about this breed

What a beauty ! I have never met anyone who owns one of these guys. I would love to know more about the breed ... Do they have as many health issues as our EBs ? Any issues particular to THAT breed ? I saw your reference to Am Staffs, etc,... what kind of attention do you draw when you have him out with you ? What kind of vocalization do they have ? ie ... bark, yap, growel, yodel, grumble, cluck ...??
No, I'm not ready to buy one, but I have had the idea in my head for a while.

Thanx!!

it was on the tip of my tongue, lol. I've always wondered what happened to him after Patton's accident.

does this one work?

if it has to be from the side let me know, i can always take a few more!!
[thanks!!]

A pic of Royal

Thanx. I just love bull terriers, they are so unique looking.

Also, I can't recall, but did you send me a pic of Royal to include in my latest bulldog collage?? If not, do you have any full body shots of him standing on a surface other than grass?? Or sitting. Saw the two pics below, but only part of his body shows in them. Thanx.

willie was his name!

here's a picture, you can sorta see him on the back of that vehicle..

wow I like her

I was told they are really good dogs:)

sure was!

now time for a google search to find a picture of him...
i can't even remember what the dogs name was..

hehehe

no problem!!

i think...

because they aren't as overbred as some of the other "fighting" breeds, and because they are still so pricey [like bulldogs] it really has helped to keep the breeders working in a positive direction..
the breeders really seem to care about the personalities as well as getting that silly nose just right. that's important!

(Yikes!) I'm SOOO sorry! I was so excited! =)

SHE is adorable.

Is that a General Patton dog?

I can't recall the breed he owned, but I think it was a bull terrier.

he's a she! :)

hahahha. she gets that all the time. something about that roman nose just isn't very feminine.

She is a beauty

I have always heard they were wonderful dogs.

I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for posting him! He's absolutely adorable.

Julia

Thats it thats the one I WANT LOL!

I was actually thinking of getting one of those before getting Gert but Dad wanted another bully.
GOSH I love those dogs.
In canada theres a popular sports anchor named Don Cherry that has one of those dogs, he's always with him at the hockey games, its a crack up!
