Does anyone know this breeder couple located in Three Rivers (near Kalamazoo) Michigan? They go by the name of Penny and David and live on a farm off M16 (?) off 131 South. I am a little leary of them. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I've just recently visited here. But noticed this question and thought you might want to talk to a very reputable breeder that I'm personally familiar with.
In Lansing, MI live the home of Wimsey Bulldogs owned by Phil and Beth Handrick. I believe they are listed and they still breed from time to time. In fact I think they currently have a litter for sale. They are most famous for their English Import, Am. & Can. Ch. Wincar's Silver Flame or otherwise known as Mr. Ben E. Butts!
Mr. Ben sired my female, Smasher's Gwindella Di from Ray and Karl of Winscon who currently own the Smasher's line.
All 6 of our pups were gorgeous had no major problems and our favorite the one Beth nicknamed, BJ lived to be an old man of 11 years.
You might want to check out Phil and Beth I believe you can find their email on the BCA board and also on the WWB boards.

I GOT A REQUEST TODAY FROM A PERSON WHO LIVES IN MICHIGAN TO HELP HIM FIND A BREEDER, HER IS WHAT I GAVE HIM. Im assuming you are looking for a breeder, if not im sorry.
Theiris a specialy show in Kalamazoo, MI. This would be wonderful place to meet people. if you are close i would go to the show, meet people see what they have. Dont go planning on getting a puppy, you are going to talk and look, get business cards from the breeders. I would also suggest not bugging them when they are getting their dogs ready ring side, talk to them before the show starts, during break or after. Find a breeder you can call if you have questions, someone who breeds to better the breed and not for profit. You want to see the sir and dam of the litter, some breeders will also have the grandparents in their breeding program. You will be able to ask the breeder about health problems, elongates soft palate, entropian, distichea, stenotic narrs, heart conditions. If these breeders don't have puppies ask for a referral. Have you contacted your local bulldog club? thebca.org
