Blakely's having some problems.. I need some advice.

My vet doesn't work on Wednesdays, so I would rather not take her to someone else unless I really need to.

She had surgery last Tuesday to remove yet another mammary tumor. He took all the breast tissue that was left on that side as well. This was her second tumor in about 6-7 weeks. She has been fine up until today.... bloody poop this afternoon - wouldn't eat her supper tonight - her gums are pale.

Do I need to put a call in to the ER vet? Should I take her to the other vet at my regular office tomorrow? Should I wait and if she has any more problems?????

Help!

Poor girl

I'm afraid you and she are in for a long night. Prayers and hugs.

Hopefully he will call back

I wonder if she is drinking so much water because she is losing blood.

If not, I'll get a call in to the ER. She is drinking TONS of water.

Tara, can you call your regular Vet?

If not, call the ER Vet. I would be very concerned since her gums are pale and she just had surgery. Poor girl. I will keep her in my prayers.

Tara, if she is usually lethargic

after surgery...maybe you could wait till morning. If her poop is fine, perhaps they will tell you to bring her in the morning. Phoning THEM is the best answer right now.

She just pooped again....

no blood this time. She is always very lethargic for days after surgery, but I was a little concerned because she looks a little more pale than normal.

Our closest ER vet is over two hours away, so I'll give them a call before I go.

Thanks.
