Bladder infection Again????

Going to the vet at 2 today. I noticed blood in Jewels' urine last night. We just got off of Clovamox two weeks ago?? Guess we didnt get it all. Plus she has been rubbing her Private parts on the grass outside(allergies make her itchy) so maybe thats it??? Any advice. Have to see a diffrent vet in the same office....little nervous my vet just had surgery and will be out til the 8th..Yikes. Thanks in advance

Suggestion, if you can

If you didn't get one already, bring a urine sample they can test to make sure it's an infection. The "fresher" the better. If it's a really bad one, it can take more than 2 weeks to get rid of. Also, maybe the Clavamox isn't the best antibiotic for your girl. Stella has been on that, as well as Baytril. For her last infection, the Baytril worked better for some reason...

sometimes they....

have to culture the sample..to get the right antibotic....did they send it out..or test in house...its a bit expensive but i would have it sent out....also check her vulva she may have a yeast infection....

Aw, good luck...

Camilla has had problems with UTIs... perhaps the infection hadn't fully gone away yet.. good luck.

Thanks all!!! Update on Jewelsy

Well we brought a urine sample and boy it was red and smelled horrible... Knew there was something brewing... They tested it and took bloodwork and an xray (bladder stones) she had no stones and waitting on bloodwork to come back for her kidneys and liver. Her red and white blood cells were off the charts she had crystals in urine and it was very Alkaline. She also had rods in urine... So she is on Baytril for now and just waiting on test results. Had to see a different vet and was not to happy with her. I will mention this to my regular vet... I spent $458 for this visit.... Granted I will spend anything on her...but some things she did she didnt even go over with me... Cut nails 10 bucks--she put 20 dollar antibiotic injection in her ear drops--130 for baytril---145 for bloodwork--58 for xray...BLAH BLAH BLAH...I almost fell over...was thinking maybe 200... Yikes... Hope all is ok with her. I can tell she feels better already... Thanks for listening to me vent.......XOXO
