I am in Bay Area, in Sunnyvale.
About 2 hrs drive from Davis.
Your post made me think...Chester was in stupor for a while a he could barely move his jaw, he did not eat, we thought that was because of pain, but I m wondering if he was treated for the wrong thing, if all the way he started with anemia and it looked as if he was in pain. I am thinking...so many things could have triggered this and that...he has MRSA, bad skin issues we've been treating with antibiotics for a while that weakened his immune system, he got his shots around that time...what if it all added up?
So whatever it is now we need to treat may require big guns, prednisone....I hate it but if we need to, then we'll do it.
Let's keep in touch, I am very curious what is Betty diagnosis. Give her a big hug and kiss from us. Hope she gets better soon.

I've seen them all too but you can't beat a funny rom/com to pick you up.

Although the Hangover is not a "chick flick" per se, there are some scenes in it that literally had me rolling on the floor. And the photo sequence at the end is hilarious. Dr. Céline prescribes it for you tonight after work! (I wouldn't recommend inviting your mom though, it's pretty crude )

I'm thinking Miss Congeniality (I & II), The Wedding Singer, Never Been Kissed, 50 First Dates, The Proposal (Ryan Renolds naked, need I say more)... Then, after a few glasses of California wine, we could let loose with more intellectual programming like The Hangover, Old School...

Heck, I feel a party coming on. Any other chicks out there want to "blink" over to Dawn and Betty's with me?



P.S. Dawn, why don't you go out and rent some of these for fun (not as much fun as WITH me I know). They are mindless and you may get a chuckle or two. And if you space out and miss any dialogue, you won't be missing much... :

I have lots of saved links to info if you want them, Dawn.

My vet treated it with a high dose of prednisone that had to be tapered very, very gradually to avoid relapse. Even then Spotty relapsed once....but we went in so often for monitoring bloodwork that we caught it right away. He was doing exactly what you described--going pale, then pinking up. Like Betty, Spotty had had his spleen removed.

The studies I read tested pred in combination with other drugs for IMHA....Results pointed to pred alone being the most effective. Good luck...my boy lived with this for nearly 2 years, so it can be done.

Your a role model for anyone who should want to own a pet.. I thank you for helping me realize that there is nothing you can't do for your animal. I haven't posted but have always found that your trial and tribulations with you animals are touching and at the same time motivating..Betty is so lucky to have you..
