Best Vacuums??
Submitted by mesmerizing1 on April 21, 2010 - 12:36amWas looking at the Bissell Pet eraser. What do you guys use with the best results? I just got new carpet and need some good suggestions..

I recently had dylema: Hoover or Dyson..cose Hoover because
1) rating in consumer reports showed it was actually better than Dyson on pet hair
2)I actually prefer bags to bagless, I had bagless vacuum and did not like the dust getting out when emptying.
Hover was cheaper, works great so far

I have a bissell pet hair eraser.

I like it fine. It does the job and seems to have good suction.
I of coarse would LOVE a dyson, but can't afford it right now.
The Bissell was about $200.00 so good value.

I have
an electrolux, it's old and heavy but it works great. All the news vacuums made now are all plastic. Lots of folks here prefer Dyson. I say whatever works is just fine!

We are sold on the dyson
I don't know about the Bissell, but we like the Dyson a lot. I know that it's expensive, but a vacuum lasts 10+ years and we think of it as a long-term investment.
