well will post Max story although not a bully...a Big part of Bella's LIFE. up until Max came..Bella did not seem to have a bubbly personality..she was young under 2 and a couch potato and getting chunky..lol fast.
I had 2 pugs 6 months old..and Bella that was just under 2 and Gus just under 1 so when the pug breeder called me about Max..I was like I am soo sorry...I do not think I can..and all the rest.. well she convinced me that maybe just foster Max ..and see how it goes and then I could rehome him.if I wanted. she thought he might do better in with the pugs here..they were already related to Max.
well I was not prepared for scared of his shadow syndrome. he was afraid of everything. the lady that turned him over to the breeder says her husband beat the pug everday for 6 months and now that her husband had left she could not handle Max..
well...................
make a long story short..he turned into the best pug on the planet. he bonded with Bella from the moment he set foot in the house. was like a light bulb went off and Bella had a true purpose in life. to be a foster MOM for real. she totally babied Max..even let him try to nurse on her..lol and I had to put a stop to that fast.
Bella has lost 6 pounds in the past year..out playing with Max in the backyard..and so on too. she chases the pugs all day long, plays with them all the time.
BUT PUSH come to shove..NO getting rid of BELLA or Max..they would need to be rehomed together..and AS IF that would even happen. NOT on your life..
here he is the first day here

and now

and he is TALKING back to Bella...not a nice way to treat his foster MOMMY..lol

and playing with Gus too...

thanks Rae..yea he made 2 adult sons cry when he came....
very very emotional time when he first came here..
the boys could not believe he could be that scared to death of the world..
and now change like this...
the boys totally love him too..
he is the heart dog of the house and Bella truly is the best foster MOM you could ask for. Nobody would dare try to hurt Max with Bella around. she is very protective over this pug..and the rest of the pugs actually but mostly Max
I will never understand
or fathom beating or hurting an animal
