Bella and her tour of the petshops this past week or so.

so took a day and night and went to visit my MOM last week. she is 75 and really one dog is enough for her to deal with so took Bella. my other son took care of the other dogs. first holiday away from the dogs for me in I bet 20 years..and wow did it get it me. was supposed to be for a few days..I lasted ONE night and one day. I JUST Can not get over leaving the dogs with someone else...
while in the city took Bella to PET SMART. Normally we just go to to small mickey mouse type place here in town..so this was a huge treat for her. the NOSE was working overtime and she loved all the attention..she headed right to the jolly balls. go figure. we bought her 2 smaller versions so she could play with them at MOM's. MY MOM totally loved Bella and she is not a FAN of bullies normally.

then the other day went into town to the other pet shop here, wanted to get some coats for the bullies. it has been about -20C here but there was not any real coats out there..to be found. but FOUND another teaser ball for Bella and another JOLLY BALL for Gus. Gus has to always share..so this time he got his own JOLLY BALL. we that was cool until Gus decided that the jolly ball belongs outside..and kept taking it outside. I normally do not allow the jolly balls inside..guess he figured it belonged out there. it is smaller and fine for the house...but Gus will not allow that..lol. IT IS Parked in the snow..lol.

also last week I had a meeting to attend, in a town close to home. went there and took Bella along for the drive and stopped at another pet shop. I went into buy a new catfood for my fussy cat and came out with no cat food but a bed for the bullies.

PET SHOP means $$$$$. it seems
I just can not seem to go in there and come out with nothing for my dogs.
what one does not play with there is another 4 that will...but always buy something.

I have 5 very spoiled dogs here but Bella and Gus take top honours for that..
something about the way they play that makes me laugh or how excited they get over something simple like a plastic ball, a squeaky or just an old tennis ball. both of my bullies are very playful.

sounds like you had a great time

glad your back,

that's a great idea!

I never thought of a kid's vest, Ibet that fits much better with no sleeves. Do you have any pics?

these bullies

are worse then 2 leggers for getting spoiled!!
I understand completly, we can never leave the dog food store empty handed, if not toys then treats.
My DH says this is how we stimulate the economy, buying things for the boys!
sounds like a nice time was had by all

We DO spoil our babies...don't we?----

I never add up the total amount of $ I spend on the bullies in a year...I think it would be shocking!! I bet I spend more on them than what I spent in raising 4 children....haha!

very true..fancy packaging to attract US..lol..not the bulldogs.

what I like to do is take a look around and see if there is something that catches my eye..that is different or cool. and try to picture if the bulldog might like it.
I can say that BDW had really helped me in my choice of toys. most of the ones on here have been a big hit with the bulldogs here.
I could see Bella head to the jolly balls... they are her favourite toy...but at the same time she stopped at the tennis balls too and that is another favourite of her toys. Bella totally loved the pet shop..it is kinda neat to see all the excitement in her face at Pet Smart. she does not get all the wiggly butt here at the same pet shop as there.. she had a total blast. good to get them out socializing as well..she was great with all the other dogs she seen there too.

i cant leave a pet shop without....

spending at least 30 dollars,,,,my crew has more toys and stuff...but i always see something i just cant resist.....and i guess the point is I cant resist....they would rather play with the bag it came in than the toy itself...

that is a darn good idea..for a coat...

that is what I might just look for.
size 5 that would fit Bella I think too.
she is about 42 pounds.
good idea...
thanks for the idea

seen your pics Deb...that is little more then a dusting for you.

I had a big meeting to go to by my Mom's and in the end it got cancelled when I got there..but the drive back home was terrible. snow storms the whole way back but just could not spend another day with MOM.. was long enough to be away for me.

Bella did very well there though considering. she was acting very strange for the first while. she is a very nervous type of bulldog and DOES NOT like change at all.. when she finally stopped panting and settled down a bit it was time to go home. I have to go back for this meeting again sometime..and will take Gus next time. MY mother will love Gus I am sure..he is a hoot and half.

-20 is way tooooooooooo cold. my dogs have a race to see who finishes first..out there..lol. I think they have it well under 5 minutes max outside. no playing with the jolly ball in this cold weather so guess that will have to wait a bit. supposed to warm up some in the next week or so.

We found a coat for Stella

At Superstore in the kids section.
I got her a 5T down vest for 9.00.
she loves it and it keeps her really warm in the -40 weather we get here in Alberta!
