BABY MOSES..has this CUTE TOY..here is a PIC..how durable are they??? toy of the year

I seen in the pics that Lisa had on her blog that Moses has one of these toys..
I wander how durable they are..
they are a bit huge seller here ..had a sign calling it toy of the year..and actually a pic of a bulldog
but they do not seem strong enough.
I am WRONG..??
I would love to add one of these to the bulldog box for my son. can see Bella carrying it around the house ..
I see they come in a variety of SIZES...even huge one..
so what are you thoughts?? have you tried on on your bully?

Hurleys didn't last long

She chewed off a section and tried to eat it so we threw it out.

thanks..Bella is not really a chewer...

I think I will give this some serious thought..
thanks for your imput
Bella never destroyed a tennis ball even since I had her..
but her jolly ball is taking a kicking..
so wandering with this the size of the jolly ball how it will hold up

Michelle and Georgia's picture

We have one.

I bought it for our weimaraner who loves balls. She never really took to it. Then Georgia came along and it is one or her favorite toys. She loves to carry it around and chase it. If you have a heavy chewer--I can't see it lasting. Georgia like to pounce on it then watch it bounch back up into shape. I would recommend for non heavy chewers.

thanks Julia..can see that being a funny MOMENT..lol

not sure they would tug on it but who knows..lol
might give it some more thought
Bella loves to carry things and toss them..that is made me think she might like it.
thanks again

LOL oh oh.... well Bella is not destructive as a rule but with..

the jolly ball she is getting that way..lol. wow she loves that toy..
but was thinking with the holly roller she might just pick it up and toss it around
maybe give it some more thought.
I know for sure Gus would not chew it up for sure..
but if the two bullies go into a tug
might be history..LOL fast..
gotta be pretty durable for 2 bullies
Lisa had a few pics with her bullies tugging on it..maybe she will post on this thread too

Julia's picture

It's a different plastic than the jolly ball...

It's rubbery. It's pretty durable, but Grover never sat down and gnawed on it. It's kinda hard to sit down and spend time on destroying because of it's elasticity. So that's a plus, I guess! happy.gif

But it's not super tough so I suppose if two bullies used it as a tug o war toy, it might snap. And make for a funny America's Funniest Home Videos moment. happy.gif

Re: how durable are they Julia???

my non destructive Marley loves this, but Dupree had about 2 minutes with it and it was history!LOL
Hope that answers your question:)

much bully love~Christine, Dupree, Marley and Savannah

how durable are they Julia???

Bella loves her jolly ball but she is getting very rough with it.lol the rest of her toys are fine..
wander how durable the jolly roller is?? can it withstand the bulldog and the chewing. trying to find out before I buy one..they are not as expensive as the jolly ball though
thanks for your help

Julia's picture

Not really much to it, Pat. It's just a simple toy. LOL...

happy.gif Back when I bought mine in probably 2001, it was called a Hollee Roller. It was fun. No different than a ball, or a jolly ball. You can fit something smaller in the middle of it to make it a little more fun. happy.gif Other than that, nothing special about it. They seem to enjoy it just as much as other stuff. happy.gif

cool..and that is what I would do too.....

roll it and see if she just chases it..
she would likely kill it..lol as well though..
shake it good
Bella shakes everything that she owns all the time
I think I am going to pick one up for sure and try it

Re: BABY MOSES..has this CUTE TOY..here is a PIC..how durable ar

Spanky got a new green one for Christmas. He likes to carry it around and shake it (or kill it, as my husband says). I roll it across the floor for him bowling style. I think it is a nice toy.

Re: did it hold up good though..

I think so... Dakota wasn't real mouthy/chewy so she mainly played with it if there was a treat in it... she didn't chew it when it was empty :0)

forgot to add..I have no luck with the kong toys..go figure..

lol that makes no sense..
I have tried them on all the dogs here..and not one
of them has shown interest in the kong..
maybe I should stuff them with more better things..lol
but not sure why they do not like them..

I guess that is the same with all toys for bullies...some will

and some won't
I guess I am leaning towards it..just cause Bella loves the jolly ball and how it rolls and she can pick it up and chase it
looks like the holly roller she might even be able to catch it..
but I can see some bulldogs not liking somethings and others go nuts over them..lol
Bella does have things that Gus the other bully does not have a bit of interest in at all..and vise versa

We have that one

Mack ignores it, Spotty ignored it, no foster dogs were interested.

My guys like things that squeak.

thanks for your imput..

I think I am going to pick one them up to add to the bully box
thanks for your comment..

great toy!

we have a smaller one, and it has held up really well. one of the few things CW hasn't gone right through.

... And on the drums, Mr Charlie Watts!

good point Robin..the JOLLY ball is hard hard...

that is good point about this being softer..
think I might invest in one and see how it goes
she really wants the giggler ball I got for her..it is hard too but much smaller..
the jolly ball is her all time favourite but NOT one for the house
another thing I thought about the holly roller..maybe could take that in the house..
without damaging anything..lol
I still have time to pick one of these up for the bully box for my son..Bella might just like it..

RobinandLeo's picture

holey roller ball

Have one of these sized for the pups, it is holding up well considering the abuse it gets. I toss it into the kiddie pool in the summer (remember summer?) for them to retrieve and run off with. I especially like it because if I miss with a throw, it won't hurt them when it hits them.

LOL that made me laugh..

sounds like my house..lol
lots of toys here
think I will invest in one of those balls that Moses has in this pic though
and give it a try
looks tough enough for Bella..she is not that rough with the toys

Yes, we have jolly balls, stuffies, and every kind of Kong Toy m

did it hold up good though..

that is my biggest question here
do not see Bella chew anything but her jolly ball and teaser ball
maybe give it a try
also saw a big soft ball...similar in size that is made out of tough material
got her a new jolly ball as well as a giggle ball that she would love right now
she still has Christmas when my son get here
thanks for sharing
maybe just pick one of these balls up and see how it goes
if she does not want it..there are 3 pugs here..that would

This is one of the few toys my bulldogs have not torn apart. It

we had one for Dakota that was smaller and football shaped... we would put a treat in it and she would play with it to get it out...
