I'm mortified! I think Leeloo is becoming an excitement peer!?!? She's done it twice. Once 2 nights ago when my mom came over, Leeloo tinkled a little with excitement. And again last night when my neighbor knocked on the door (first time Leeloo heard that) and came in to say hi, she got really excited and peed all over the floor... HELP!!! I reeeeeeaaaaaallllllyyyy don't want her to do this.... what can I do?????

it actually is not uncommon for little ones to piddle when
excited....just when she goes pick her straight up and put her outside...then praise her if she goes some more...and keep postive re-enforcing anytime she goes out side ....praise,hugs ...treats...lots of yahoos....
their little bladders haven't learned control yet...
be consistant and patient...she'll most likely stop as she gets older...good luck...ce
I am not sure, but this might be why.........
I would check with the vet if it continues but sometimes dogs will pee when they see a human or whatever as a sign of submission. They will sometimes do it with other dogs as well to show that they are not trying to be an alpha. How old is Leeloo? If I remember right she is not that old, so it could just be that she hasn't learned to control her bladder when she gets that excited. I would also expose her to as many strange things as you can before she gets older. Not too many at once, but the more new things she experiences the easier it will be when she is older around everything. Hope this helps!!
You can also
ignore her when you first see her. When she gets all excited and butt wiggles when she first sees someone tell them not to pet her--to just completely ignore her for a few minutes until she settles down. Then hopefully she won't pee all over.

She's in her crate when we come home so
there's no jumping up and down and we also don't want her to get too excited when we arrive so we usually ignore her for a few minutes then calmly take her out to potty. When others come over she gets excited but not as much and she doesn't usually jump on them just wickle her little body all over, hee hee, too cute! Hmmmppphhff! I hope she outgrows this!!!

Also...
I don't know exactly what she does when other people come over to your house or when you come in from being out. Do you let her jump up on you when you come in and pet her right away? We did not want our dog to be that excited when we got home and greet us w/ jumping ect. So what we did was made him sit every time we/someone else came over to visit. This helped us w/ the excitement in jumping. I did not have the pee thing. But good luck. I just think that if the pup was more calmed down then she would not get that excited? Good luck and let us know how you make out...
