Any advice I can give Bubba's first time dog sitter?

I am leaving Bubba with a friend of a friend for 5 days while I go out of town. She is staying at my house and Bubba has only met her twice before. All my regular options are out of town and I didn't want to board him. My friend, who Bubba has stayed with tons of times, will be around one or two night but the rest of the time he'll be alone with someone relatively new. I just hope he does not terrorize her or my house. He has been moping a lot lately because I think he knows I am leaving.

Any advice? This is his first time alone with someone new. When he was a puppy and stayed with friends, he would totally rebel and act out.

Advice

First of all let your friend spend the night in your house the day before you leave and let her get familiar with your dog and vice versa . make a list of chores and go over the list . Give her your Cell # and the place where you staying . Last but not the least your VETS number for emergency .

VERY funny Gary!!!

He was just humping an elderly lady next door who came to say hi to him. He's out of control but everyone loves him and just laughes it off.

Let's see, buy her some shin guards,

tell her not to put any "Humphrey" Bogart movies on the TV, and tell her to run if Bubba starts giving her a wanton eye while holding a rose in his mouth and a jar of Jif in his paw.

Bubba

Kim,

I would have her come over a couple of times before you leave. You could show her some of his routine, any commands/tricks that he knows. Take him for a walk. Have her give him some yummy treats so he will associate her with something good coming his way.

Good luck

what i did..

when someone left their dog with me, i made sure to make a note every day saying what the dog did, what time they were fed, what time they were walked, etc.. make sure she is very detailed, and maybe give her a suggestion list of things to do... hope that helps!

Do you have a local bulldogger you can give her the number too

I like to make sure that they have a number of someone who knows bulldogs, as well as the vets number.
