I have heard conflicting issues on neutering bullies, some say do not subject them under surgery unless absolutely necessary, others have said they preferred to neuter them. Also, I have heard if you neuter them they will loose muscle mass. Any feedback wil be helpful.
Neutering Question
Everyone has their own opinion about neutering. I am of the very strong opinion that neutering is a necessity if you are not breeding. The chances of cancer later in life are so dramaticlly reduced when you have your pet neutered.
(I lost two rescues to cancer because they were not neutered while they were young.)
I have not heard that neutering does anything to the muscle mass. I would think that this would be more a matter of genetics.

Both of mine are neutered
Flash had cherry eye and was neutered at the same time he had cherry eye surgery. Quigly came to me as a five year old and he has been neutered too. He is 72 lbs and his head is huge! Here's a pic of him... I don't think that it has as much to do with neutering as it does genetics.
Re: Another Question
IMHO, the health risks of an un-spayed/neutered dog aren't worth taking the chance. But I am in it for the companionship, so again this is IMHO.
