AKC and papers

Many of you have probably been affected by AKC's backlog on the paper work processing.

They say it's back to normal but the fax system is still out.

If you are late with papers, waiting for some to arrive, be patient and considerate to the great people at AKC. Also go easy on the breeder. He/she is not telling stories when they say they, the papers, are late coming.

UKC is not who you want.

You need to talk to the registry from that country.
If a littermate ended up registered with AKC, that means there's an official pedigree on file somewhere
for that litter or the parents.
AKC will not register a foreign dog without one.

Is there another breeder in that country that can do the leg work for you?

I'd start with AKC. Talk to this guy because the front line people at AKC are just info sorters.
This person is in case management. Picked up this number at an AKC show. The AKC rep passed it on to me. John Bradley 919-816-3534

Let me know what happens.

thankyou Marcel. nm

Unfortunatly

The man said if i ask for my paperwork again, he will rip them up into tiny little peices when he gets them and mail them to me along with calling me an "A-s" for asking for them as he seems to say i have to wait and be patient. I have never been nasty to this man just wondering when and if i will recieve papers.

Thanks Frannie

have been in contact already with AKC--they said they cannot help anymore until i get paperwork from CMKU which the man we purchased Bruno is supposed to get. Appreciate your help.

Hi Marcel

CMKU is Czech republic, having big problems with person we purchased our bully from and dont understand how AKC could reg a CMKU pup when CMKU has no records of sire and dam. you can e-mail if you like . thanks for the info. not sure about UKC--suppose i could try and contact them?

Talk to the breeder and see what they say...

I'm not familiar with the CMKU you mention. Is that the UKC (United Kennel Club?) Fill me in and maybe I can help. You can also call me if you like. 714-828-2355.

I'd like to help if I can.

Marcel

Here's a phone number for AKC that will get you results.

John Bradley, 919=816-3534. Very nice man who's very helpful. Good luck.

Marcel

That's exactly what it means.

AKC is back to normal except for the fax system.
All app's have to be sent in.

Mine where not overseas - I called them and got someone on the p

I also have an email address, if you would like to know how to get in direct contact with someone from AKC please email me at fran@marragency.com Thanks :)y

Paperwork WAS delayed.

AKC is now back up to speed but no fax service until further notice. This info has always been on AKC's site.
They had press releases stating the problems they had.
It took four and a half months to process a litter application for me. Last week, I received something that took only a week, so they are up to speed as they say. Their web site is: www.akc.org.
Look at the news releases. They talk about the problems and what it did to AKC papers.

Here's a name at AKC: John Bradley 919-816-3534.
He's the guy who straightened our mess out.
He also thought it was very premature for the Mel's and the Hale's to sue me. He further stated that AKC provides for late papers. They further state that one should wait until papers are in hand before breeding their dogs. In Heather's case, they wanted to and did breed a baby.

It's all past us now but the saga continues.
Talk to your breeder, don't persecute him/her.
It makes everybody look bad in the long run and solves nothing.

Oh, don't send multiple copies of your papers.
With Carol's deal, we sent a number of duplicates, desperate to get them processed. Well, in the end, Mr Bradley from AKC found that they processed all five duplicates of ours. They just credited my credit card accoiunt over $1200 for duplicate occurences. And these people said I wasn'tt trying.
They continually called me a liar yet all those app's I said I mauled in actually happened.

Be cool to your breeder.

Fraud is when someone tells you a dog is registerable but in fact it isn't. Late papers on a dog does not make the dog unregisterable, just late.

Marcel

actually, I got mine in about 2 weeks...

hope this means it's back to normal speed!?!

Re: Unfortunatly

SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE I KNOW!!!!!!!

Frannie, were yours from overseas?thanks. nm

nm

Yeah i know!---

was just kind of hoping maybe im getting upset for nothing? I am going forward with things as of friday to try and get them. I just dont feel i should have to go through this and was hoping maybe this guy is saying be patient for a good reason. He said it takes 6 months to get the paperwork, now from time of sale friday is 6 months. sigh. No big deal i will eventually get them one way or another.

Slow? Thats putting it Mildly .. lol I put in for Mollys in Feb

Marcel an overseas question maybe you can help?

I have contacted CMKU about sire and dam of my pup, they have no records, but AKC has a full sister reg from same litter who was from what AKC says CMKU. do you have any ideas on this as you have dealt with overseas reg.? Or maybe how long it should take? My pup is now 8 months old . I have been told to be pateint by man we bought him from--am i getting worried about nothing?thanks for any info you might have.

got mine quickly

I can't speak for everyone, but I got my registration papers when I recieved my puppy back in February. Now I was a little slow in sending them in, however, I finally sent them in on June 2nd, and recieved them Thursday, and I got his certified pedigree on Friday. That too me, is a pretty quick turn around. I guess the AKC does have things worked out now.

Just my experience....
