after reading the post on personalities, it seems like there are a lot of bully ladies who DO NOT like other dogs! Is this a common bulldog thing? The males seem to be sweet, laid back & easy going with human and dog alike. Audrey is very aggressive with other dogs, especially after the attack, and now she's starting to go after my old girl Princess.

Lily was very friendly with all dogs, until we got a golden pupp
Then she became very protective of Ruby, and now she just hates all dogs (except Ruby). We had to put up a fence on the porch, to make sure she doesn't get out, as she went after a dog a few years ago. We watch her every minute when she's out in the yard or on a leash. She loves people! and Ruby!
Re: aggressive females
That's why the girls are called BITCHES!
Audrey gives very little to no warning
there is no growling, teeth baring, or air biting with her. I have learned to recognize the 'stare', which for her is a brief look, then she goes after the dog.

Lily is agressive with all dogs- even Rocky on occassion
and forget outside the house- wants to eat them all

Roxy loves other dogs IF...
Roxy loves other dogs as long as they respect her space and warnings if they get too up close and personal. She will not tolerate rude obnoxious adolescent males who get in her face, or God forbid, attempt to hump her. I would never call her aggressive, but she can be reactive. She is always cautious and careful around other dogs. I say she is street smart.

I don't rescue animals because I want to feel better about myself, or morally superior to anyone. The best part of my life with animals is the humility they teach and the humanity the foster.
Belle on the other hand, is absolutely fine with all dogs no matter what. I could put her in with a litter of puppies and she would just stand there and let them leap all over her. She also lets Bentley and Junior sniff her butt whenever they want. I don't allow any humping, so nobody ever tries that. She just doesn't care.

Sophia is very aggressive with female dogs.
Males she is generally okay with, but put she and another female together and she will fight it. Sad to say.

Marley can get agressive with the family dogs..
but she never does with outside dogs, like ones we meet at the dog park or neighborhood..I have a very old female lab mix, that she will start trouble with occ...just out of the blue..start growling..I thought it was because Marley was a only "child" when I adopted her @ 2.5 yrs of age..Marley also doesn't like to share her toys.
much bully love~Christine, Dupree, Marley and Savannah
I would not call Bella aggressive to other dogs but............
she is not the best friend that is for sure either. she would never pick a fight with the other dogs but...My son was soo excited, his friend had an english bulldog male and we took Bella to see her.. well that was not a good idea..LOL.
Bella would not let the other bulldog near us..and we were in the other bulldogs house.. she would stand between us and the other dog and she just gave that HUGE bulldog look and the other bulldog stayed back.
she would not do well at a meetup.
Gus and Bella have the odd discussion here. the vet told me to let them sort it out.. they are still setting up who is top dog ...and it changes now and then.
Bella is a a muuuuuuuuuuuush with the pugs but not with Gus...she will sleep with the pugs but not Gus either..
maybe it is a big dog thing with the bulldogs.
how is Audrey with smaller dogs??
when they do get into a discussion here last 30 seconds if that..
