Hi,
we have two absolutely wonderful bullies - a male and a female - both a year old. we are thinking of bringing a Bernese puppy into our family but don't want to do anything that would have an adverse reaction on the personalities and happiness of our bullies. We have two cats also, and all get along fine. the bullies roughouse but are devoted to one another.
We'd love to have a Bernese as well and have heard that male Berners in particular get along well with other animals.
Any thoughts? This would be a big step and we don't want to make a mistake, for the sake of all animals and humans concerned.
thanks!
Laurie

Bernese, caution
Bernese are lovely, but big dogs. The ones I know are lovely, but their health has as many issues as Bulldogs, or more.
6 years is old, and a form of menigitis is more or less common.
Find a very good breeder!
Thank you all!
thank you all for responding - your messages made me feel better about this possibility - I would not want to do anything to make our bullies unhappy.
Bernese
I sold one of my pups to a family that had two huge Bernese, a male and a female. They get along great and love the pup.
Bernese
Hi.
My veterinarian niece in Norway was the proud owner of the Scandinavian Champion in obedience. I have met her new female dog and she is wonderful, living in a household with three little boys and an American Ragdoll Cat. If it was not for the fact that we live in Texas, I would absolutely get one. They are beautiful, smart and hardy. If you want my nieces's e:mail address in Norway let me know.
Regards.
