Ce, be mad if you want, but remember- it was the decision of everyone who contributed last time, to get Cody away from that guy and put him in a great loving home. That home ended up being yours. All the people who helped buy him, may possibly feel responsible for helping to get him medical treatment. You're right- you took him on, baggage and all. But dont be so stubborn as to not accept help when its offered to you- for whatever reason.

I agree with the BDW emergency fund, to be contributed to and then dispursed as seen fit by Webbie. I dont think we have that in full swing right yet, so you will just have to accept direct help from individuals willing to offer it.

As for me, mine may be a couple of weeks, but I will be sending what I can as well.

Sorry to have to do this to ya Ce, but we have our reasons for helping too.

I just learned myself about a month ago. It's pretty easy, almost scary too easy.

Go to www.paypal.com and open an account. You have to have a credit card.

Once you have created the account, log-in (on the home page, I believe the log in tab is near the top right hand side of your screen).

Once you have logged in, you will see several tabs near the top of the screen. One is "SEND MONEY." Click that tab and type in the email address of the person to whom you want to send the money (to receive the money, that person must also have a PayPal account, which Ce does). Next type in the amount you want to send. I think there is also a block for you to select the type of transaction. I usually pick "Goods (other)". Then click on the button to send the money. PayPal will send you an email to verify the transaction.

What a wonderful story and bless you all (especially you Ce) for doing this. I will make a donation of whatever I can today.

Cody is the father of Ce's Mojo. We found out that the breeder had put Cody up for sale on his web site. The picture on the web site showed Cody looking very healthy. His real situation was something far different. His ears were heavily caked with muck, and he may be deaf in both ears. His eyes were severely gunked up. He had a very large lump in neck, his genitals were greatly swollen, and he had a large strange looking growth in his throat. And this isn't even close to all of his problems. Numerous people raised money thru paypal donations, checks, etc. to rescue Cody from the breeder.

Cody is a dog the board got together and purchased to get him out of a very bad situation. He was over used as a stud and malnurioused and was in a very bad place. After rescueing him we found out all his problems He is deaf , has to be hand fed way underweight , looked like he might be blind but it looks like his sight is coming back. has a lump on the side of his head and swollen penis from so kind of infection. Ce has been working miracles with him but now he need extensive vet care.
The board here claims ownership of him and he is kind of our mascot. If you saw his first pic we have of him and him now all smiles it is a miracle.

We don't want anyone to feel like they need to donate.

I think you have enought to think about Ce without this worry put on your family and you. Please accept it in way we offer to help OUR DOG. After all he is partly mine and I always pay my part of any bill.

Wouldn't the new regs proposed by the USDA (prev post)
help put a stop to breeders such as these?

I know the type of person you are. Always there to help others whenever you can (and even when you cannot). But you find it very hard to except help from others when maybe you could use it.

Please let people help you at this time. I feel that you are doing so much to help Cody. When this first started I made a decision to help a poor soul who need to be saved. You have since been his saving grace.

I unfortunately do not live close enough to help you in other ways. By allowing me to help you with this you make me feel like I am doing something good for someone. Please don't take that away from me.

Hoping by the time you read this Cody & Mojo will be on the road to recovery.

I'm sure Dr. Shaw is a great guy (if Ce like's him he must be!). Is there anyway he can work out a billing plan so that a) Ce doesn't have to hock anything, and b)we can have a little time to collect funds? I know vets are usually cash and carry by necessity, but if she lets him know she's got the power of Bulldogsworld behind her, maybe he can make an exception.
