Wow--it is only Wednesday, and you all are busy bees with the posting!
First, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who welcomed us and offered advice! Matilda and I have made lots of progress ( I think?) since we last spoke. I was also in touch with a wonderful person at Mid Atlantic Bulldog who gave me some area specific need to know.
-I forget who it specifically was who asked about the microchip. We did take her to get microchipped checked. We did it closer to where we found her, thinking it may have honed in on a more specific area. In a sense, that's why I said at first (in like the first 10 days) that I was fostering her. If she does have a family, and there are looking for their girl (and they are a stable, non puppy mill family) of course I would never take someone's furbaby from them.
-The representative recommended a nearby vet, so impending vet appointment is in Matilda's future. I checked out there website, and I got good vibes!
-Matilda is now on the Nature's Balance Sweet Potato and Venision. I am making sure all her treats are grain free as well. Hopefully this helps with the itching. Although, now I am really concerned because she's developed this horrid looking spot on her head, which I swear just happened in the past 5 hours since I came home.
-We are playing more and more! Matilda really loves her Kong Wubbie (and is even liking the regular kong more too!) Today when I threw it, she did this weird little hop run over to get it. Beaming isn't the word to describe how I felt!
And clearly, its "tough" being Matilda. As I'm typing this, she is laying all curled up next to me, snoring her little heart away.
Thank you all again for the recommendations, and most of all, encouragement!! :-)
sounds like matilda
is in good hands! hugs......

attitude is altitude!
That's so sweet!!! Sounds like she has a great new life - it
did sound like she came from a puppy mill. Damn people they irritate me. Have fun with their funny little quirks! lol
great news!
I'm glad that you two are settling in nicely!! The bully hop run is one of my favorite things to see. They're just so happy they can't contain it so you get a little "HOP" in the middle! :)
Let us know how the vet checkup goes! Hopefully the spot on her head isn't anything serious...if you have the time and the means, post a pic and I'm sure, based on the picture, we can offer some sort of help. Don't be shy with the pictures of her doing the "hop" run either! :)
Shannon and Winston :)

Such great news all around!
I'm so happy to hear that Mathilda is coming out of her shell. You guys are going to have such a wonderful life together!
We call what she did the "bunny hop", because I find their back feet look like bunny feet.
Looking forward to more news after the vet visit - and MORE PICS!
