She's not with us anymore, on Sunday I took her on the second leg of her journey to meet with another transporter to get her in to the capable hands of rescue and her foster home. When I closed the door to the other transporters car and looked at her she gave me the most pathetic "Why aren't you coming with me??" look that has EVER been given...it broke my heart.
She went to see the vet today and start the road to recovery. :) She's in wonderful hands and I'm sure she's settling in nicely to her new surroundings, she's such a sweet soul she wins over EVERYONE who meets her. As a matter of fact, when we were waiting on the other transporter I let her out in a small green space area to do her business and stretch her legs. A guy who was driving buy actually Stopped, Reversed, Stopped again, rolled down his window to ask me about her. When I told him she was a rescue and was on her way to her foster home he got out of his still running car to come meet her. She was terrified of him, but he was so gentle with her. He got SO mad at her condition, he actually had angry tears in his eyes. He wanted to know where she was going so he could donate money in her name. That made my heart so happy. :)
Here she is at the shelter where we picked her up:
here's her sweet little face (crusty nose and ears and all):
and here she is sleeping in the back of my car (this seemed to be her preferred position for about 50% of the trip) you can see all of the sores on her elbows and knees:

Shannon, I am so happy for Noel starting her new life and so grateful to you for picking her up and taking care of her. She is finally going to have the life she deserves! Joyeux Noel indeed!!

years old the shelter told us. As we guessed she has infected ears and tail. Yeast infections all over her and is in heat- which we did not realize. I still can not tell anyone about her without getting tears in my eyes. I have seen pictures of dogs in bad shape but never in person. It really is upsetting. However- she is in awesome hands and I know that she will be treated like a princess from here on out. That warms my heart and gives me something to smile about.

I know the rescue I volunteer for has their own website as well as facebook page (they update facebook more frequently with the day-to-day updates). I don't know that Noel's foster mom has the time (or energy) to post here as well as keep up with all the other things she has going on (she has her own bullies and another foster besides Noel).
I don't want to break any forum rules about posting which "chapter" of rescue she is with (or make anyone mad) I'd be more than happy to answer questions and share info in private messages. Just send me a note and I'll do my best to answer your questions. :)
A couple pics! :)

My swimming bully buddy!
It's about time
been waiting for these pictures. Thanks for posting.
She looks like she will need some time and love and she'll be ready to rock in no time.
Thanks again for helping her. Noel has no idea how lucky she is.

oh, I'm so glad you were there for Noel
and helped her along in her journey towards recovery and a happy home. She's so lucky you were there for her.
omg, I would've lost it to see her looking at me from the other car.
((((hugs)))))
What a sweet little girl!

She is a lovely, lovely girl.
Shannon, you and Julie Rock for doing this for Noel. How could anyone NOT love that girl? Good job girl, good job!
Amy and Sophia
Sweet, sweet thing
You're a better woman than me. Even though I know she's been saved, it just makes me SO sad to think how badly she was treated!!
I love it that that guy got all misty eyed about her. Maybe he'll be her daddy one day ?! Wouldn't that be something!
She went to the vet today. They think she is 3 instead of the 5

Anyway for the 'receiving' foster to keep us updated?
I hope they are on BDW or that you can get them on the board, I'd LOVE to know how's she's doing in the future etc (if possible)
:)
