We got a Gibby!

So its good news so far. We had to get the puppy earlier than expected. But he is doing great. The breeder took him to her vet and he looked great. The puppy, now known as Gibby, will be going to our vet on Monday morning. He had his first set of shots today, and with that and the traveling, Gibby was worn out today. He didn't want to eat until we offered him some Canidae dog food. He loved that! But he ate and became a completely different dog afterwards. He was playing and exploring and having a great time with everyone. We are proud to say that he hasn't had a single accident in the house. Gibby is a laid back, go with the flow kinda guy. He has fit in wonderfully. Even our cat just looked at him and said "whatever, where's dinner". So here is a pic of the big guy...he weighs 11 lbs already!

holy cow thats a big boy, makes ky 10 week old Kippah, at 10.3 lbs look like a teacup poodle with a serious wrinkle issue

Thanks! The breeder wasn't feeding him what we would consider a good food so his weight might drop a little once we move him onto Canidae. He seemed to really like that. The breeder also left food out all the time and we'll be changing that tomorrow too. Kippah sounds she is perfect size.

puppies are a blessing. what a beautiful bullie he is. what fun you guys are going to have now. love the picture of both of them. your daughter will have so much fun with him and him with her. this is a sweet picture. glad ya got him and he at home now.

I think Gibby is going to be re-named Jack. Aiden picked the puppy out and really wanted him to be called Jack after Capt. Jack Sparrow and Baby Jack Jack in the Incredibles. A couple of the adults in the family thought Gibby was a good name but after spending the night with this guy, Jack actually seems to fit him better. But he is already become best buds with our two girls.
