Vern....Then and Now

Here's Vern within a day or two of being born (we picked him out within the first week - he's always known his name was Vern)

A Christmas pic from our breeder - we didn't pick him up until after New Years he was 9 weeks old.

Here's a pic from last weekend - I'm making a VERN calendar for all of our family and friends for Christmas presents...this is one of my many pics from it. Don't tell anyone.....shhhhhh.....

And, finally, here's a pic of Vern sleeping in his newly revamped dog bed this morning.

On a side note - I was really frustrated w/this new bed...it had the faux lamb lining (sherpa) and it was shedding like mad in my room. So, last night I took this crazy fuzzy blue cheetah print fabric and sewed it inside the bed to replace the sherpa. As soon as I finished & plopped it on the floor Vern climbed in and didn't leave it all night.

Well, there's my Vern before and after pics. It's amazing how much they change in just one year. To all of you with new babies - congrats and enjoy every second of it. To all of you with senior dogs are dogs that are ill, I'm so sorry and hope that you have tons of memories and pics to help you get through the hard times.

WOW you are so lucky a few pictures as a pre-puppy LOL so tiny !

and Vern has grown into Royalty, so Pround and Regal looking - :)

He's such a good looking dude! I would have died with that Christmas picture...waiting for him after that would have felt like torture (and I'm sure it did).

I love the calendar idea! I may keep that in mind for next year! :)

I've got the calendar mostly

I've got the calendar mostly created - on Shutterfly.com. I had to buy some "props" for the December pics (haven't taken them yet) and need to come up with a smashing cover page. It's cool because you can add events/holidays on the individual days and even pics too. So, me being the kinda quirky person that I am....looked up unusual holidays and have them scattered throughout the months. It's turning out pretty cool!
