Posting this with a note to the new person that was thinking of having a puppy shipped to him - Please don't!
Either drive out to see the pup and where he has been raised, the parents, etc. OR fly out and bring the pup back yourself after you have seen the facilities and are satisfied that they are truly breeding for the right reasons.
I flew from Ohio to California in December of 2008 to pick up my new puppy Polar. I did pick him from photos and the breeder's descriptions BUT she also shows her dogs and is VERY knowledgeable and trustworthy. It has been a great experience working with her. She has 2 dogs of my breeding, one has finished her Championship and has been bred, the younger one will soon start her show career.
8 or 9 week old Polar in Calif. The 1st 2 photos here were from the 20 or so his breeder sent me along with photos of both parents
Polar is in profile, looking left
Polar's first few days in Ohio and his 1st snow
Polar was about 17 months old here, at shows in Indianapolis
Polar in the center, his daughter Elise on the right at shows in Salem, VA in August 2011. He finished his Championship in early Sept. in Ohio, his daughter needs her 2nd major to be a Champion. Proof you can get a nice dog from a far-away breeder - just be sure the breeder is a good one!
Great story and pictures :) so true :)
Thanks :) Polar is so cute :) and seeing him mature in the photos is just so neat :)
Last steps taken May 26, 2014 -- Been rolling along ever since . . . .

And I love his markings! I can totally understand how you fell for him before meeting him with all those amazingly cute puppy pictures. :)
