food is a touigh one
I have always fed mine natural balance and never had any issues, hope you find one that works for you
We use Blue Buffalo - Wilderness Salmon
She still bald on her flanks - but else wise she seems good, specially good on the south end when she clears out the room! LOL
We are going to make a switch to a different flavor of Blue (still Grain Free) maybe Lamb, maybe Chicken - not sure yet
Last steps taken May 26, 2014 -- Been rolling along ever since . . . .

It's still dog food
I think dog food is dog food. Even treats can be harmful if ya don't know what's in them...I feed raw beef liver ,[as a snack] ,cut into pieces and frozen on a sheet of wax paper and stored in a plastic bag in the freezer, BUT, START SLOW ON THE LIVER as it's very rich and will give loose bowels if too much is given at once.........a small piece like a quarter at first and only a couple SMALL pieces a day at first......
Bad breath, smelly wrinkles, skin problems, yard full of poo, that's good reasons to feed raw. And now with the China deal on treats and rumors of a dog food recall, USDA looks better and better. It seems scary at first, but not to the dogs.....I don't claim to be an expert, but I have two [Buddy and Brother] that live with me. There is a lot of info on feeding dogs raw on the web, and others here will help also.
When my dogs wouldn't get off the couch to eat their breakfast ,[ two dollar a pound kibble] I knew something was wrong so now I feed raw. Raw chicken and beef liver, some chicken gizzards, we get the runs with too much beef meat, so we stay with chicken for now.
This is Brother.
Mean people still suck
what are you feeding him currently??
Is it a good quality, grain-free food? Does it have chicken in it (lots of bullies have issues with processed chicken)...? I have been told by several people that lamb is a good protein if your bully reacts negatively to fish/poultry as a protein source...

My swimming bully buddy!
Sounds like maybe a grain
Sounds like maybe a grain issue to. Maybe give grain free food a try.
I've had to switch out from a few brands because they
either created an issue (gas, skin, hair, ear, and yes even anal gland issue) or Fatboy wouldn't eat it because it didn't taste good to him. I was starting to think that raw is the way to go for Fatboy because he is so sensitive to kibble. At this point in our lives I don't have the time/money for feeding raw. I want to make sure I'm doing it right and not leave any necessary nutriets out you know?
Anyhow I was recommended to try Honest Kitchen because it's the next best thing to raw. It's dehydrated food that's in powder form. You add warm water to it...and I know this sounds so unappealing (even looks like baby food too) but Fatboy has NEVER gone crazy over his food...ever. He loves this food so much and anticipates it twice a day now. As far as the issues go we haven't seen any yet. I know it'll takes a few weeks for him to adjust. But even by now we would have noticed gas. Fatboy is pretty much gas free. I'm going to have to think of a new nickname for him because he's not Stinky anymore =P
Fatboy aka Stinky :)
well....
right now hes on the natural line that pedigree came out with, supposed to be grain free and all natural. but i deff think this is the worst he has been... i think im going to go back to the natural balance with the salmon.. that was the best.. but the negative was his FARTS STAAAAAANK!, haha i guess in the end id rather deal with a smelly fart then him scartching till he bleeds :(. my poor little bug... i also think he has winter allergies, is that possible???. he was fine all winter, the second it dropped under like 60, thats been it, scratchy and losing all he hair :(

I recommend Blue Buffalo
I started using Blue Buffalo August 2nd as a recommendation of my Veternarian. She said they were getting a "little pudgy" and it would be a wise decision to put them ALL on a weight management food. She named me 3 of the top choice and Blue was one.. I researched all of them and decided that all the pros were really with Blue Buffalo.. I understand yours may not need to lose weight but if you look at all the essential ingredients that are so good for your dog I think you would switch. I pay $48.99 for a 30 lb bag, but I have 4 of them on it.. i can say 2 of them have lost 3 lbs and the other two really dont need to (it was just easier to switch them all over). I have noticed a HUGE difference, they are not shedding as badly, my girls tear stains are gone, they seem to be full and not begging for human food as they used to. One downfall is the gas they have maybe 4 times a week could knock you over..lol..
