Surgery Day for MacKenzie

Dropped him off to have his gum growths removed and it looks like a tooth has some decay, hoping it won't have to be extracted. He'll get a cleaning and nails shortened, while under. Poor guy :(. Hopefully this will be his last surgery. He'll be 9 next month so I will be very hesitant to put him under again. He had those gum growths removed 2 years ago and they grew back with a vengeance.

I think they had to extract 1 tooth. But the biggest thing the vet said was the growths had pushed his teeth back 1/2 inch. That is just crazy! You know I feel bad because I never really noticed them growing that much and I at times opened his mouth wide so I could check his back molars. Then I was looking a month ago because he seemed to be licking alot and he was chewing on an antler and there was alot of blood and I noticed the growths had gotten huge and were covering his back teeth. You know with a bulldog unless you open their mouth up you can't really see the molars. Anyway I'm rambling and feel like a bad mom.
