Sophie brought JOY to the Nursing Home....awww....*piks*
Submitted by ArchimedesMommy on May 15, 2013 - 2:07pmsome of you may remember, at Halloween, I took Sophie to a Nursing Home (all dressed up, of course!) :-)
It's always such a blessing to see how much JOY she brings these precious people!!!!!!!!! Some of these
residents have **NO** visitors---ever---it is SO sad!!! :-( I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to take Meaty, also,
but I honestly think he might pee on their floor (from extreme excitement!) Anyhoooooo, it was awesome! :-)
I WISH you could see the extreme JOY on these percious peoples' faces!!! (obviously, I can't post their piks)..

I'm sure she brought so many smiles - sweet thing!
I would have LOVED to bring Stella to do this sort of thing. She loved people and wasn't shy about being petted. But the province where I live has super strict restrictions on bringing pets into places, so it never worked out.

..that would've been SO great for them to meet Stella! I
always thought animals had to be CERTIFIED as actual "THERAPY DOGS" to visit *any* type of healthcare facility, but it
turns out, they don't. Some facilities are more strict than others, but the two Nursing Homes I've brought her two only
require proof of all shots and (of course) potty trained, not aggressive, and won't climb on people, etc. The actual training
and exam to be certified is VERY strict and I have to admit, I doubt either one of my sweet babies would pass! :)
