LOL! There are 7 of them in this house somewhere, and we can only find 2. It would be SO NICE if she liked balls that are too big to fit under the furniture.
Is that a plastic bed with removable padding/cover? Where did you find that, if you don't mind me asking. That would be perfect since I am constantly washing beds for one reason or another.
OH, and by the way, Audrey is even MORE fantabulous than the bed...but that bed and new cover is pretty stinkin awesome!
In all the various pet stores and boutiques we have gone to I have never seen one like that. I did find one on Amazon, apparently these are call Pet bed pods. The med size is 32.5 across, 22.5 deep, and 11 inches high. Kippah is 35 pounds and I dont anticipate her getting over 40 lbs. Do you think this would be a good size for her? The large is super big it seemed.
That pretty cover you have, is it custom made? I am thinking I could buy one cover, and then make a pattern and sew my own.

medium sized. I think it's 36". I can measure it.
I made the cover. It was my learning english paper piecing project. It is quilted, and has a removable stabilizer piece on the bottom.
Here is the pattern I made. The design was transfered to freezer paper, the freezer paper ironed to the fabric, then the pieces are cut out, leaving extra for a seam allowance.
here it is finished with the cushion (which she HATES and I had to take out) and the appliqued pillow (which she also HATES and I had to take out).
here is a (hopefully working) link to the photo album that shows the process more.

That is awesome - I love the pillow and accessory cushion even thought Audrey doesn't. Gorgeous!! Not as gorgeous as Miss AH herself, but gorgeous all the same.

The pillow is now on my couch.
It was SUPPOSED to be the cushion for the bed, but it's too small. Turns out that was a blessing in disguise because she will not go in that bed with a cushion/pillow in it. She likes a fluffy blanket.
So now she has a really cute super ridiculously soft fleece blanket.
I assumed it was custom made, you just dont find that beauty anywhere!
Thanks so much for your help, I am off to order a Perla bed I believe! I dont think I will be piecing the cover together as wonderfully as you did, since I have drapes I am finishing tonight, and two throw quilts in the process, and a maxi-dress to help my daughter with...... I love working with wax paper too, dont know why I didnt think of that process LONG ago!

I don't mean the design, I mean the pattern to fit the bed.
The bed curves and the sides slope, so I found the best way to make the pattern was to cut narrow strips and tape them together from the bottom of the bed to the top. I cut them flush with the top edge and bottom, since Iwas english paper piecing and didn't need seam allowances. Then I made a pattern piece for the bottom, and one for the top rim that has elastic and wraps under the edge to hold it down.

Audrey weighs 38 pounds
she is my tiny little peanut!
I couldn't find a perla bed cover, so I just made my own.
I can discuss pattern making for it if you'd like-after making the basic one I can use it for a any kind of design I want.
