Rescue Lu lu

So i accidentally... wound up at a no kill shelter here in fl..... and i saw this bully there..She looked so sad.. I asked the volunteer if i could just smoosh her face to cheer her up.  I thought about her non stop for two weeks...  She was thrown in a backyard by some dirtbag owners... never cared for ... 7 years later she was surrendered.  she had no fur.. and almost no skin and was covered in magots.  Her nose has almost split and dried completely, her ears are completely infected and she needs a little eye surgery.  Shes been in rescue for 4-5 months by the time i saw her and is fuzzy doing well.  I could not leave her there.  I ran home and pleaded with my fiance. Even if she only has a couple years.... i want her to die knowing what it was like to have a family.......  Four days later......

Shes sitting on my couch now with my other bully Piggy.  I will post pics as soon as i get them on my computer.. We have had her 6 days now.  Shes getting comfy... she finally helped herself to one of our three overflowing BINS... of dog toys... She was taught by my other bully to stand at the frigde when opened and beg for cheese.. She has also learned in 6 short days that a water dish is to be maintained with plenty of crunchy ice cubes... which she is not that good at catching yet!!!

I would seriously like to that all the wonderful people that save animals like Lu... There are a bunch of you out here.. I hope you know what it means.... how much you do and all the good it does. My lady from dogs and cats forever Cindy said "we didnt think we'd get her adopted....... so quickly"  the pause seemed like she meant at all.  I sobed like a baby when she said that.  i spoke to her since to let her know how well we are doing.... She said your Lu's first family.

Lu Lu just jumped right in.  Its like she is imeasuably greatful for everything!  The funny part is i thought i was saving her, it turns out that she is the one who gave me the gift ... and what a joy it is to see her grow and to make her happy.  I am so lucky.... Think about adopting... It is such an awesome thing!!!!   Wish us luck tuesday is the day we find out about eye surgery.... either way.. at least she doesnt have to do it alone.....

g night all...

This is awesome. I don't understand how (or why) some people

treat animals the way they do as you described.  I was telling my husband about your story and he got this look in his face like he couldn't stand those people.  He immediately picked up Fatboy and hugged him.  I'm glad Lu lu is doing well :D  and I'm especially glad she knows how to beg for cheese now lol
