Quick Question!

We just found out that my wife is pregnant and were expecting our first human child next August. My question is that since this happened Angus has been attatched at the hip to my wife. he just follows her around and is always trying to lay on top of her. It almost seems like he is protecting her. Have any of you had any expierence with this?

Aw! No experience, but how totally sweet!

Bully's are very intuitive, sometimes! I bet your Angus boy knows momma is gonna give him a baby brother or sister! He is guarding that little bundle:-) Or maybe just can sense mom is not quite herself...

No experience either

But I agree, sounds like he's protecting her.  They are so intuitive!

Also sounds like he's already going to be BFF with baby  :)

Congrats to all of you!!!!

No experience but Congradulations !

Maybe he is playing 'Proud Papa' and protecting Mommy?  Dogs have weird senses about things -

He loves his mommy

they can tell. If she having morning sickness and not feeling better then he just wants his mommy back to her old self. remember she has that glow and to Angus she is a shing star. that is sweet. bullies and baby life just can't get in better.

Congratulationssss...great news!!! I could be wrong, but......

since we all know doggies are SO smart and intuitive, I think Angus KNOWS, and thus, he is being extra protective.  With all

the hormonal changes your wife is going through, he just knows!   One time, one of my brothers-in-law was having a bad

gout attack in his leg....as we were sitting there talking, we noticed Meaty kept sniffing and sniffing his leg and stayed near

him as if to protect him from the pain.   If you googled this subject, I'm sure you'd find lots of great info.  Kind of like how

dogs know when their owner is about to have a seizure, or some diabetics have dogs that will bark and warn them if

their blood sugar should fall so low that they couldn't reach the phone, etc.......
