Heyyy Everybully!
Hope you're having a nice Saturday! So, I just HAVE to ask y'all about this, because I'm SO curious!!! Let me start by saying Meaty has
ALWAYS been "Daddy's Boy" , and I have always said I'm sometimes a bit jealous, but that I understand and accept it---Sophie doesn't
really have a favorite, and that's fine, too! When Daddy comes home---even if he was gone for a half hour-----they both go INSANE...
LOL....which I LOVE to watch! Meaty especially goes crazy when Daddy walks in, and I also find it EXTREEEMELY sweet that (whenever
I'm home to see it), *almost* every single Monday - Friday, Meaty goes to the same spot at the window an HOUR early, and waits for Daddy..
he does NOT move from that spot, and most days, Sophie joins him, too.....Most of you know those SWEET stories about doggies
who will stay by their owner's graves and still wait for them for daysss, monthss, yearsss----it blows my mind and touches my heart!
So, now that I've clarified allll of that....hee hee...
.....
...
The other day I was gone for longer than usual, and when I came in, it was so quiet, I assumed both babies were sound asleep, ......then sweet
Sophie sleepily wandered out to greet me, then maybe 2 minutes later, Meaty walked near me, but wouldn't come to me as he normally does,
and he just sat up and stared at me from about 5 feet away.....it was actually kinda funny, but I was also kinda sad he didn't come to me
to pat his cute wittle head and say HEWWWOOOo, I MISSSED youuu a million times like I always do...
....
Then I noticed it happens more and more lately......but nothing has changed with their greetings to Daddy....even the rare times
Meaty doesn't go to the window to wait for Daddy, if he's sound asleep, it doesn't matter---as soon as he hears the key in the door and knows
Daddy's home, he is WIDE AWAKE and RUNS as fast as he can to see him!!! :-) ...(and Sophie usually follows, but not every time)....
....
Soooo, just curious---have any of your bullies / doggies / other furbabies started acting differently towards you for no apparent reasons?
I assume Meaty might be upset, but there is honestly notihing that's changed----Only thing I can think of is that I am the one who takes him to the vet more often
than Daddy---and the last vet visit, Meaty was NOT happy with the ear treament he got---I've never seen him react so angrily to our
vet or ANYONE else until that day...poor guy's ear was hurting a lot, I'm sure.......I was the one who took him, maybe he's upset about
that? Poor wittle guy.....
